Where did you hear TMG is not ok when giving MB12 shots? What's the theory or

info. behind it?

I do both with no problems. Per my Dr.

Alison F.

Just curious

TMG (trimethylglycine) is a methyl donor and many of our kids have

impaired methylation systems so when given TMG or DMG it helps

regulate that system. If you do MB12 injections, though, do not use

either DMG or TMG. If your child is an over-methylator or does not

have a methylation problem then none of these supps will help (like

with our daughter)

Dr Bock is a DAN doctor in upstate NY. We saw his partner Dr Compain

and although he was thorough in his exam and testing we did not see

how the thousands of dollars spent was worth it. I found his

chelation knowledge lacking and when I questioned a few of his

methods he was not happy with me. My girlfriend's son had been a pt

of Dr Bock and she said she went there every week for glutathione

injections and she said she felt that this helped her son with

language. I have heard good reports of Dr Bocks book as far as

information on suppliments and other autism treatments so I

probrably will check it out.

I have heard this several places including parents from Dr

Neubrander who started the MB12 protocol. I think it is for the

BEGINING only then you can add the TMG or DMG. This is what we did

and we saw no negative effects (no positives either though). CHeck

out Dr Neubranders site because I think this info is there as well.

On abmd a few months ago, Rick Neubrander [doctor's brother] posted

that 80% of people on mB12 shots reported problems with TMG if given

at the same time.

I used TMG together with mB12 for about a month, with good results,

but after that I had to remove the TMG.

It started causing problems, which is what every supplement does for

my son once he no longer needs it.

MB12 & TMG is the devil for most kids. We do not recommend it.

If not an MB12 responder, TMG can be used.

MB12 & DMG is not contraindicated but usually if DMG & MB12 produces

an effect, then increasing MB12 and taking out DMG will usually

produce the same effect. (Most cases, not always)

Sorry for the short version, but was away for over a week and am

swamped.
