What supplements is he getting in the evening? Sometimes moving some of those

earlier in the day makes a difference. Also no caffeine after 3 pm (if at all).

Right now he gets 3mcg of meletonin and a 1 capsule of Kirkman lab

Magnesium Glycinate about 1 hr to 1/2 hour before bed. We started NN

EPA on Saturday but the sleep issue has been going on for weeks. I

thought about trying the calcium\magnesium combo. I think there is

an Ionic cal\mag supplement that is suppose to work well.

Try stopping his molybdenum!

My son was waking up at 4 or 5 am..even with melatonin. We took him

off his Molybdenum and the problem resolved in a few days. It seems

he is not needing it anymore. Also, no b comlex later in the

evening, you can also try time release melatonin. Andy suggested

that when I posted about my son waking so early. But for us we crush

it..so I didn't see the time release still working if you crush it.

so instead after talking with another mom whose son began waking up

after they started Moly..we gave it a shot...

I have had a lot of trouble with sleep over the years - falling

asleep, staying asleep, waking too early.

Low blood sugar can cause early waking - maybe he needs adrenal

support, ie adrenal cortex extract. Adrenal support has been more

effective than anything else I have done to improve duration and

quality of sleep.

One thing that I don't hear discussed with these kids is Seriphos

(phosphorylated serine). This helps me when the problem is high

cortisol at night, which can cause difficulty falling asleep, early

or repeated waking, or some of each.

Energetic therapies like acupuncture/acupressure or homeopathy

can be helpful with sleep issues.

Try using Melatonin, give l or 2 depending on what is needed. Also try Epsom

salt baths at night with l cup Epsom salts along with 1 cup baking soda..

Soak for at least 20 minutes if possible.. Use this time for storytime,

talking, fingerplays, flash cards, etc. will calm the child or teenager down

before bedtime, you are trying to create a sauna effect and will help

release toxins from the body also. this really works.

Before you add something, I would take a good look at what you are

currently using to see if you can remove or alter a current

supplement.

I know this has already been said; just emphasing it! In my

experience, night waking was due to a problem *I* created with a

supplement.

Has this been going on forever? A few weeks? That might mean a lot.

How old? Does he crash during the day now; needing naps?
