Question about vaccines and services in Massachusetts

Hello everyone,

I just found out last Sunday that my husband's job is transferring

us to Hudson MA. The catch is that it is going to be VERY fast.

We'll probably be there in the next 30 to 45 days. I have 2 autistic

boys (ages 3 and 6) and a 7 month old girl (NT so far)I'm getting the

boys IEP's set up to go, but I'm clueless as to what MA has to offer

as far as services. We are currently in CA with

GREAT services and are faced with either moving or my husband being

out of a great job. I don't work right now, my main job is the

children. So my husband job being on the chopping block is huge for

us.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the services

that are in MA. My husband will be working in Hudson, but we will

move to where ever is necessary to get the boys the services they

need.

My other HUGE concern is the vaccines. I had my oldest boy fully

vaccinated (up to 18 months) before he got the dx, therefore, my 3

year old boy was also getting vaccinated. I have totally stopped the

vaccinations on all of them. My oldest doesn't have his boosters, my

youngest boy doesn't have MMR or boosters, and my girl doesn't have

anything. The state of CA has a philosophical exemption, but from

what I've read MA doesn't, just medical and religious. I was

wondering how I can keep my children from getting the vaccinations

and have them attend school at the same time. ANY help will be truly

appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Steph
