Guest guest
How long has Aimee been in here band. Did they tell you how long she would be in it? Joann, Sam has been in for 2 months now. The first month he grew over 1 cm in circumference and none in length. 1/2 was in width and the other was in rounding out in the back. (not very technical) Thanks again for responding. Guest guest
Well Aimee did have facial assymetry but it is i guess what you would call mild. It isn't really obvious until someone would point it out. She got the band at 11 months old and they said she would wear it for 4.5 months...but right now it looks like it will be a full 5 months of wearing it. We have seen great improvement. She has a lot more width than she used to have and honestly if they said to stop treatment now I would be happy because she look totally different. Looking down onto her head is different from before...now she looks shorter in length which is/was my main concern. Right now we are working on getting more width in her forhead area though I must admit she looks pretty darn good right now. Still if you look closely enough you can see a little bit of bossing on one side of her forhead. Aimee had a strange head. Not only was was it long and narrow but it was also flat on one side in the back and one side of her face was flatter than the other. Looking at her " headsicle " at our appts always amazes me. We also have the DOC band with the velcro because of the fact that she had the facial assymetry. Hope I have helped you some. I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.
