Our first day: So far, so good!!

Genna got her DOC band this morning. So far, so good! She doesn't

notice it at all. In fact, she's down for her nap right now, with no

fussing at all. Yay!

After 3 hours, she had one small reddish spot in the front where her

band has one of those outcroppings that they said some babies need to

help keep it in place; it was pretty much faded after an hour but

still there a little (not dark, just light pinkish). I went ahead

and put the band back on for another 3 hours and will re-evaluate it

then. I guess this is the right thing to do... someone tell me if

it's not!!

So, we are off and running! I'm relieved to finally be underway. I

thought I might cry when I saw her in it, but I didn't. I think she

actually looks really cute in it. I wasn't going to decorate it, but

now I think I will at least put her name on it, and maybe a few jewel

stickers, since everyone already knows she is Princess G!

Does anyone else worry that the band is obstructing the field of

vision? It's not overlapping her eyes or anything, but I'm pretty

sure she can't see what's above her head without tilting her neck

back. It doesn't seem to be bothering her; I was just wondering.
