Guest guest
i think one thing that was important for US was knowing that because it wasn't just a loose fitting hat on our son we wanted to ensure that someone had to follow guidelines. its not like a cast on a foot or arm....to us, this was so major because it was our sons head. from what we read and were concerned about was putting pressure on the brain/head/eye sockets etc. we were so paranoid about long term physical and neurological problems as a potential of mistreatment that we went with the fda. i wish the casting process wouldve been a thing needed to be approved by the fda, then maybe some of the problems people have could be avoided. but aside from casting, the follow up needs to be regualted somehow. even if someone uses a company that is not fda approved, i personally feel like that they, at the very least have other companies guidelines they can try to follow. am i making sense??? i just think that there should be a standard in something so major like " molding a babies head " . and by the way-u dont sound like an idiot-you sound quite intelligent by asking questions when u dont understand something. hopefully i was a bit of help. if you go to plagiocephaly.org, they have some info on the fda's ruling. if you cant find it, i will scan the info in tommorow and post it tomorrow(going to bed in a minute). let me know. lisa > I hope I don't cause any trouble here but I was curious about your > opinions here.
