Guest guest
Hi all, We went to the ortho today and there was no adjustment made (no visible changes to his head shape - surprise, surprise)...). He told me that Orthomerica saw Max's picture and felt that the band didn't seem low enough to his brow and they are making him a new one???? He will have it some time next week. this one will be open a little on top and a 1/4 of an inch lower on the brow?. I am not really sure why he is getting a new one, I don't think my Ortho is too sure either. Well, I have decided to give it until Max's birthday 4/18 - that will be 2 months. I had better see something happening by then. To put me in an even better mood I found out that my insurance has only paid $300. so far and is fighting the rest....when will it end? We go the Neurosurgeon on 4/4 - maybe he will have some positive input. On a slightly better note, I think Max is getting sick of pulling his band off - he only did it 3 or 4 times today which is a HUGE improvement. His eye hasn't looked any worse the last 2 days - so that's good I guess. I will post a face shot as soon as I get them developed and you guys can tell me if you think it is getting worse or if it is all in my head. I asked the ortho if it might be making his eye worse and he said that it shouldn't, there is a gap over that eye.? Thanks for letting me babble, it always works like therapy. Have a wonderful weekend and kiss all your beautiful banded babies!!! Amy(Max's mom)
Guest guest
Amy: I think it's definitely a good thing to get a new band, the current one obviously isn't working one bit, so maybe, actually hopefully, the new one will have correct pressure points, etc.. That is good news, and you need some good news. They didn't re-cast Max? Probaby didn't need to if his head shape hasn't changed yet, but he still might have grown some. I'm glad his little taking off game has gotten a little boring for him. That's gotta be a relief, I know how annoying the throw the toys down from the high chair game gets, I can't imagine dealing with putting the band back on 20 times a day! Good luck!! I'm interested to see the pics.. Debbie Abby's mom 3/1/00, dOC 2/16/
