Hi to all,

Well today so far has been good and bad. I have received replies back

from my emails. Cranialtech feel that at 20 months Harley may be too

old for treatment, although I think the distance could have a lot to

do with that! They have no distributors in Australia anyway!

Orthomerica themselves have not responded but their Aussie

distributor has. The Managing Director himself rang me today! They

only became aware of Starband in Dec last year and have been

consistantly asking Orthomerica for statistic and research details

regarding success etc. Apparently Orthomerica are a bit slow to

respond. These guys want this info to show our doctors as they have

such closed minds on the issue!

The good news is that they are sending me the info they have and the

contact details of some Sydney orthotists that deal with limbs etc.

and I can ring them and see if they are willing to take a cast of

Harley's head. The cast would then be shipped to Melbourne and then

onto the States to make up the Starband! They were very helpful and

as we do not have a FDA like you guys I do not have to get anyone to

look at the product and okay it for use! What I need to ascertain

now is in all of your varying opinions has anyone treated a 20 month

old???? Am I to late?

This is almost 'Do it yourself' medicine, that is what the doctors

over here don't like! Who cares? If this means that treatment is

going to available to Aussie families then I am all for it!

Kendra, if it's too late for Harley any suggestions on where to from

here regarding getting the word out over here, trying to find

families in the same situation, there must be more. Any word yet from

the new member that you think is from Australia?

Did you guys have strategies in place for raising awareness? This guy

representing Orthomerica went into great details as to why the

treatment is not here...cost, to small a market etc. I could go on

but I won't!

Thank you for being there for me yesterday, it was not one of my

better days. It does feel good to know that I have a group such as

yourselves that I can bounce things off!

Take care..
