Gluten Free Diet?

I have read so much about the benefits of a gluten free diet for our

children. I am hesitant to try it for many reasons...cost, difficulty

in preparing special meals, the kids not liking the taste (as they are

already so hard to please with food), etc. Has anyone had experience

and or luck with this? I am in Knoxville and know there is a local

health food store that supports this idea, but I have not been there

there to check it out yet.

Thanks,

I've seen studies that say going gluten/casein free shows improvement

in 85% of those who try it. It will not help if your child is not

gluten sensitive. The key with any dietary measures is to figure out

which foods your child is negatively responding to. For us, it was soy,

not gluten or casein. Find out which foods your child is sensitive to

first before you invest time and money. The health food store should be

able to refer you to a practitioner who can guide you in this: (a

Bioset/NAET practitioner, naturopathic doctor, etc.).

I have found this book to be really helpful for us -

Medicine/dp/0275991784/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1220796718 & sr=1-2
