I asked Vince's neuro if they would be doing one and he said they felt it was not necessary. He had just been at an AAP meeting last week and the procedure came up for discussion. They felt it unnecessary other than for research purposes such as collecting data. Also said it would just be one more thing that the ins co would need to be billed for and they would deny anyway. I see it as rather useless also. There is no sense in putting these kids through another casting. It would not have made a difference for me to see the change in Vince's head now than when we started. He was done regardless! Just my opinion.
