I'll bet once you've been to Paramus they will be able to help with the red spot and you guys will be back on track! Guest guest Posted March 12, 2001 Report Share Posted March 12, 2001 Hello Everybody --- Here's an update on Zack. He's been in the DOC band a little over a month....he was banded on 2/7. We see improvement already - which is very exciting!! His forehead bossing has gone away -- now his forehead looks totally normal from the top. And he is definitely rounding out in back!!! He's pretty much wearing it 22-23 hours a day -- it doesn't seem to bother him -- once in a while it shifts a little and falls down over his eyes - but we just shift it back! The one problem? He still has a red spot by the closure. It stays there -- even after we've had the band off for an hour or two. We put some moleskin there last night -- and it made it worse!! So he has it off today -- we have an appointment on Wed. morning in Paramus! Here's a question? does the DOC band always close on the same side? Because Zack's closes on his right -- the side he always turns to while he's sleeping because of his tort. I wish his band closed on his left. Anyway -- we'll keep working on it!!! Although he was not diagnosed with tort, his flatness is on his back right side. We are not experiencing problems (yet) by the closure, but have had on and off problems with red spots that don't fade after an hour on his forehead (even after 2 adjustments.) I think I remember reading a post a while back about where the band fastens, and I believe it said it had something to do with the affected side......??????
