Hi Amy and welcome!!

In regards to your question...we did not see cranial-facial people, we saw a

pediatric neurosurgeon. Lots of people in this group have seen cranial-facial

people and have had very good luck with them. In the files section of this

group there is a file containing a list of questions to ask the doctor.

As far as tests go, they might suggest x-rays or possibly a 3-D CT. This

would be to rule out craniosynostosis and to see what kind of compression the

flatness is causing.

I am glad you found us - this group is a GREAT source of support with people

who have experienced just about everything involved with this condition!!

Subject: Looking for a little help...

My daughter Carlyn is almost 5 months old. She was born with right torticollis, facial asymmitry and a facial palsy affecting her lower right lip. She has a couple of flat spots on her head the largest is on the right back (probably due to the tort) I'm not sure if her head was crooked at birth because she had a ton of thick dark hair. Most of her hair is gone so the flat head is more obvious. My questions for all of you old pros out there are:1. we are going on thursday to the Cconnecticut childrens medical center to see the "cranial-facial team". Do any of you have experience with this group??2. what kind of questions should we be asking...I don't want to miss anything.3. What kind of tests might be suggested by them?Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksAmy and Carlyn
