Kendra,

When I posted this message I had just read all of the posts on the CT

discussion board. Everyone was freaking out on Jess because she was

stating her opinion on the STAR band. I was mainly just writing to

vent a little and after I posted it and read it again, it didn't even

really make much sense. I had also just remembered a heated

discussion between two members here a week or so ago. I just wanted

to send a message to everyone to do just what you said - be a support

group. I probably stuck my nose where it didn't belong, but when I

feel like I need to say something I just do it. I agree that " aitens

pictures " of the STAR band were not good. But as I said before, the

main reason I even thought to write about this stemmed from the CT

discussion board. Maybe I should have posted there. Thanks for

responding.

that one member was " bashing " another over the choices they have

made. The members here are simply voicing their own experiences with

the products they have used. Some people are not happy with the DOC

Band, some are not happy with the STAR. Everyone has different

situations, and sometimes things don't work out. If you check the

file created by " aitensmom " in the FILES section, you will probably

agree that that particular situation wasn't a good one. This mom has

never told anyone NOT to get a STARband, but to ASK QUESTIONS. She

is simply telling HER story, and so she should!

> I think it is fabulous that there are other options out there, but

that doesn't mean that people should have to walk into this

experience blindly. I think that is important for the bad side to be

told, just as it is important to hear the good. Of course, I do

agree with you that we should not judge each other for the decisions

we make, and we certainly should not be arguing over which helmet

is " the best " (even though each of us will form an opinion). This is

a SUPPORT group. I also think that emotions can run really high in

this group (after all, we are a group of parents trying to do what's

best for our children!), and things can be taken a little too

literally. We need to read these messages at face value.
