I had a severe lisp as a kid and I am a stutterer....with lots of speech therapy in school the lisp was cured so to speak and I learned to manage the stuttering to large degree and now I only stutter if stressed , extremely tired and usually it happens on a phone or when I am talking into a speaker to place an order like at Mcs.

So anyway many years ago a movie came out called " A Fish Called WAnda" and one of the characters was a big time stutterer. Well the Stutterers ass. of North America spoke out about how ridiculing this movie was and they told people not to go see it and were very offended. So Wayne and I went to see it anyway , we like going to movies and I laughed so dang hard I thought I would explode and wayne laughted just as hard...well...we were the only two laughing and we got many dirty looks from other people in the movie theatre...but OMG ...I saw myself in this character and I had a great time laughing at myself.

One time I was trying to tell WAyne and the kids something and I couldn't spit it out and I wish I'd had a video cam running at the time...because in unison , Wayne, michelle and adam all did a little tap dance and song " DA DA DADADADA !!!" and I immediately was able to spit it out !!!!!!!!! and then we all laughed so hard....and why not ???

Now when we go out to eat with our kids and grandkids , Wayne and Adam Quip...

"The Asperger Family goes out to dinner" !!!!!!!! and then we all laugh.....

but that's us.
