Guest guest
Betty, My DH was telling me there are some cool fitness related games for the Wii. I know just from playing the tennis and baseball games, you do use your muscles and work up a little sweat. Is he very active? I'm a clinical dietitian in a mental hospital and work with lots of patients with weight issues related to their meds. I've also had to struggle with my weight all my life. It is such a big challenge for people who take antipsychotics or seizure meds because the meds really do increase your appetite and weight. It may sound simplistic, but snacking on low calorie fruits, veggies, pretzels, popcorn (the reduced fat kind) and calorie-free drinks could help him prevent overeating at meals. At 15, he is still growing taller, so if he can prevent weight gain, then he may grow into his weight. > > Well (age 15) went to his new Psych yesterday & it looks like > he has gained some big time weight..again. Guest guest
Thanks . Yes he is very inactive. He does not want to go outside & he stays in the house. He was sweating from boxing on the Wii yesterday. I caught him sitting trying to play & I said,"If you sit playing this Wii I will take it off of you, you have to stand up." I haven't seen him sitting down again. He drinks diet drinks & Spenda in his cereal but wants more every time.I have to tell him No More.
