,

Thank you for telling us your story - I think you will find a lot of people

here who can really relate to your story! I hope you will let us know how

your appointment with the new ped goes!

Well, my son's head is flat in the back on the right side. No, his

head was not like that when he was born. He was in distress during

delivery, so they pulled him out with a vacuum. His head was really

pointy, but that straightened out after a few days. I think his head

became flat because he would only sleep in this little swing and only

a certain way until about 2 months. I noticed this at about six

weeks, but everyone told me it would go away. I asked my doctor

about it at Connor's two month checkup. He said it probably would

clear up on its own, but if not he was going to need some sort of

treatment at 4 months. I'm going to a new doctor in April, not

because of what he said about treatment, but because of his attitude

towards me. Hopefully this new ped. will be helpful and

informative. He can turn his head both ways and at two months the

doctor said he had no problems with his neck muscles after he checked

him out. I am going to check out his ears and head when he gets up

and see if I notice anything. I have never looked before, didn't

know to!

I think I may be a little more frantic and upset than I need to be.

But I don't have to tell anyone that when something is " wrong " with

your child, you want to make it all better. I just want to do

whatever I can to help him now without intervention later. There

seems to be a lot of trouble in dealing with insurance companies. My

insurance company doesn't even cover immunizations or well-baby

visits, so I feel that I WOULD have a fight on my hands. But for my

son, I would do it.
