Guest guest
Well, we went back to Cleveland today for Matt's appointment. This is his second 'first week' in the Band. The first time, we had some skin breakdown due to rubbing. This time, there were absolutely no problems at all! Matt has definitely improved (compared to his 'head' model) and they had to shave some of the p-lite (sp?) to make room for more growth! Matt's ears are not as asymmetric and the back of his head has started to round a little. Yeah!!! We are so very happy here! They originally said it would be about 3 months in the band, but if he can hit another or two growth spurts, he'll be out of that thing before we can agree on how to paint it! What a huge difference in our lives not always worrying when/if he is going to seize. He still remains on one very low dose of a seizure medication. We are following his doctors order which is to remain seizure free for two years before removing all medication. Guest guest
Wow thats great to hear Alyssa! My dad is on seizure meds as well but he still has seizures. The doctor is recommending increasing his dosage but both my mom and dad do not want to that. I would really like my dad to try NV but it may be hard to convince my parents of doing that...
