Guest guest
I have a 34 year old Asperger's son who lives at home and works in a regional program (northern Virgina) which serves adults with all varieties of exceptionalities. He is probably the highest functioning adult client there, a fact he is acutely aware of. If any of you live in the DC area and know of job opportunities or job programs specific to Asperger adults, I would appreciate hearing from you. In fact, if any of you are aware of such programs anywhere in Virginia, I would be interested. My son also has OCD which seems to be worsening because of his lack of intellectual stimulation. His particular area of " deep " interest is politics. Thanks. Hagan

Guest guest
I need help in finding out how to get support/help in the Detroit area for my 25 year old son. I have always wondered what was going on with him and I think I have found the answer. Where do I start to get him help? He presents all the symptoms...has no health insurance. I do not know what to do anymore. He is fascinated with numbers...but that is all. No friends. Does not engage anyone, including me in conversation. He has also always stared at lights. When he stares at lights he starts to rock back and forth and goes into kind of a daze. Please help me help him. > > I wonder if he is eligible for Vocational Rehab?
