Guest guest
I would keep it off and head straight back to the Orthotist. Did they give an information sheet?

Guest guest
, It is common that there are red spots at first, because the bands need to be adjusted --- too much pressure. Sometimes it takes several tries to get it right. Red spots should fade in an hour, but it sounds like it still needs to be adjusted. The band should not be too tight EVER. If you are concerned that it's too tight, definitely go back in. Please don't get discouraged yet, it took about 7 tries before my daughter's first band stopped rubbing a big sore on her head. Good luck. Amy Kropka (Caroline's mom, banded 8/22/00 and 12/29/00) Charlotte, NC -----Original Message----- From: pewpew@... Guest guest
We have the DOC band, but had the same problem of Hannah crying with her band. It was so bad the first 3 days I was almost ready to pitch it out the door. But, after 3 or 4 days of her wearing it 10 hours max each day she just instantly did great with it. I put in on one morning and she was fine. We haven't had any problems since. I think some babies just have a hard time getting adjusted to the band. I was worried it was causing her real pain, but our orthotist (after adjusting it 2 times) said that it was not causing her pain. Hang in there. It should get better soon. I would have your orthotist check it though to make sure it is not putting to much pressure somewhere and causing pain. (just to make sure) Stacey and Hannah > HELP !
