Guest guest
You know, I didn't think I got a whole lot of exercise yesterday with trick or treat but my legs really hurt this morning! Plus, on the train, we were in the very last car, so we had to walk the length of it to get on and off. That was cool, though. Re: trick or treat Great job Christy....I know what you mean though.Every year we take the car and get the kiddies in andout....but this year we are walking the whole villageif it kills me. My 3 year old daughter might havetrouble walking the whole time but it's good for thekids to exercise too. That's why at least 3 days perweek we take them on the nature walk it's about 2miles and we make them walk the whole way....no piggyback rides allowed.MariAnne--- Christy <clsweeney70@...> wrote:> Leaves> > Man am I pooped! Guest guest
The borough council designates when trick or treat night will be and what time. It's always the Saturday closest to Halloween. My brother's neighborhood is Wednesday, so well go there to help hand out candy. Re: trick or treat > >> This year, no argument whatsoever. I gladly volunteered. Guest guest
It was cold enough to do it from the car alright. It was in the 20's. Pittsburgh can be like Alaska in the winter, but it's too early for this! Re: trick or treat > >> This year, no argument whatsoever. I gladly volunteered. Guest guest
Christy that is great that your children were having trouble keeping up with MOMMY -- trick or treat Man am I pooped! Spent my day on the western maryland railroad with the cub scouts. Awesome field trip! Then we got home just in time for trick or treat. Every year my husband and I argue over who will take the kids around and who will stay home to hand out candy (I could barely get around myself and he would just be difficult about taking them). This year, no argument whatsoever. I gladly volunteered. Not only did I keep up to them, but Would you believe that I dragged those kids all over creation? they kept saying "mom, my legs hurt. Guest guest
Top 10 Reasons why trick-or-treating is better than sex.... (don't know where they've been trick or treating) 10. Guaranteed to get at least a little something in the sack. 9. If you get tired, wait 10 minutes and go at it again. 8. The uglier you look, the easier it is to get some. 7. You don't have to compliment the person who gave you candy. 6. It's OK when the person you're with fantasizes you're someone else, because you ARE someone else. 5. 40 years from now, you'll still enjoy candy. 4. If you don't get what you want, you can always go next door. 3. Doesn't matter if kids hear you moaning and groaning. 2. Less guilt the next morning. And the Number 1 Reason Trick-Or-Treating is Better Than Sex... You can "do" the whole neighborhood!!!
Guest guest
Caiti went out as a bag of jelly beans. Cheap costume and cute of course. Went to several houses and the local pizza joint where they got real excited. They've had candy to give out for 3 years and this is the first time someone has come in in costume! Gave Caiti alot of candy and to her delight, an order of fries on the house! My 8 month old granddaughter was the cutest Bear in the Big Blue House that you've ever seen...but then, I'm her grandma..... Sue

Guest guest
Hey, well my kids cancelled Halloween on their own and then reinstated it. Anyway, dressed up for school as a baseball player (totally unoringinal) and amanda didnt dress up for school but when she came home (thrilled there was no HW), she changed into her " Sandy " from Grease coustume. We went to one neighbor who used to baby sit for . then they had choir practice. all the kids were dressed there and that was really fun. The choir director had a bunch of songs set to Christmas tunes for halloween. We went to my moms because i didnt want to deal with trick or treaters at my door. There were a few kids out at about 4:00. Very quiet here too. My students didnt dress up either. i couldnt handle it. But I did wear my pumpkin earrings and bat socks. Guest guest
Well Woody got excited when 6 kids showed up at the door. He then went out and because so few kids were trick or treating, he got lots and lots of candy. I think he was only gone 10-15 minutes. He then came home and is laying here next to me, sleeping peacefully. 7 years ago was admitted to the ER with RSV. I'll never forget the pediatrician putting his needs before her own child (who was with her in the office that day waiting to go trick or treating...she followed us to the hospital). Thank God he outgrew that respiratory stuff!

Guest guest
Jake was here to hand out candy while we took Nic and he said only 1 group of 5 kids came. A drug store here advertised that you could return unopened bags of candy after Halloween for a refund (if you bought it there). Maybe they anticipated a slow year. Guest guest
We had a nice Halloween here in San Diego. We went to friends for a quick dinner before the trick or treating began. My 50's girl went ahead with friends (and dads) while my dh and I kept up the slower pace with our ladybug and Baby Bop. was an adorable ladybug, though she didn't want the hood with the antenae on them. So, I just put her hair into two high ponytails, which looked like droopy antenae. She marched right along, knocking on doors, etc., but at the first house, after she got the candy, we said " what do you say " , and she looked at the woman and said (and I kid you not, with perfect clarity).................... " One more please? " . Of course, the woman thought it was cute, and gave her more candy. Yikes!!!!!!!! She tested this strategy at the next house as well (with no prompting :-), with positive results again............it took the next 30 houses to try and break her of that request. Who says our kids take longer to learn things? Baby Bop was the third 2 year old girl ij our family to wear the costume, and I think its ready for retirement. She was the first to refuse the hat part, which made it more difficult to figure out what she was, oh well. Glad the frenzy is over.... now it's time to try and get rid of the candy (without me eating it!). Mom to (6), (3.5 DS) and (2)
