Guest guest
Check the CT website for a location nearby http://www.cranialtech.com. Also, if out of state check the website Air Care Alliance. A non profit organization that flies patients for free. www.aircareall.org What a great first time mother you are!!! Wow!! Guest guest
Mel, As far as I'm aware, the DOC band only applies pressure to the skull, not the brain. My son used a passive helmet, so I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm sure the other DOC band parents out there will tell you that it doesn't really affect the brain at all. It is such slight pressure...you would never even know. The babies don't notice it at all..that's how light the pressure is. But i don't think you are being paranoid...i sure worried about that too when i first heard there was pressure and i think it's a very valid concern. But there honestly is no risk (that i know of) b/c the pressure is extremely light. Mom to
Guest guest
Hehehe.. it is you just being paranoid! LOL It is gentle pressure, it's not like the babies head is in a vice. Did you check out the DOCband web site yet? www.cranialtech.com > yep, it's still me going back and forth between the bands/helmets > trying to decide what to do. I know I thought of that too when we were making our decision, so you're not being paranoid! Dane's mom DOC Grad

But no, there's no need for you to worry at all. The pressures applied to the skull are very very minimal and have no effect on the baby's brain. Good question though, you're not paranoid, just being a good mom! Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI
