Mel,

As far as I'm aware, the DOC band only applies pressure to the skull, not the brain. My son used a passive helmet, so I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm sure the other DOC band parents out there will tell you that it doesn't really affect the brain at all.

No, there is no need to worry about that. It is such slight pressure...you would never even know. The babies don't notice it at all..that's how light the pressure is. But i don't think you are being paranoid...i sure worried about that too when i first heard there was pressure and i think it's a very valid concern. But there honestly is no risk (that i know of) b/c the pressure is extremely light.

Hehehe.. it is you just being paranoid! LOL

It is gentle pressure, it's not like the babies head is in a vice.

Did you check out the DOCband web site yet?

Mel-

No, you don't have to worry about that. I know I thought of that

too when we were making our decision, so you're not being paranoid!

I think that's a concern for many of us parents going with an active

band. But no, there's no need for you to worry at all.

The pressures applied to the skull are very very minimal and have no

effect on the baby's brain.

Good question though, you're not paranoid, just being a good mom!
