,

That does sound unusual. I might suggest calling your orthotist and

describing the situation (you described it very well in your post) and see

what they suggest. More than likely they will want you to come in for an

adjust.

Let us know what you find out!

This is going to sound weird, and we are probably the only ones

experiencing it, but has anyone had redness on the open top of the

DOC??? Hard to explain in writing, but when I take Sophie's band off,

the top of her head is red, almost like sunburn. There is a distinct

line visible from where the band was, and the skin under the band is

whiter. It seems to be even more noticeable after shampooing (she's a

Q-ball with fair skin!). Could the band be too tight?? Sophie has

been in it for almost 2 weeks, and already we see improvement, so I

suspect the band would get tighter. Also, at what point is it decided

that another band is needed?

Any answers are appreciated.

, We experienced this the majority of the time my son wore his helmet. He has always had problem skin but we were never able to figure it out. He would only become irritated where the opening was. When ortho first drilled air holes into helmet he developed red "dots" where all of the holes were. One of the residents working at neuro office thought he may be allergic to adhesive used in helmet but no one ever confirmed it. He has been out of helmet for almost three weeks and he is still dry and scaly only on top of head. Belinda(Indiana)

I also had the same thing happen to Spence. Last week I had to take Spence

for an early check up because he had red spots again. She told me that it had

to be the way he slept. [?????] I dont think it had nothing to do with

that. But I will keep checking it. The next day it did go away so who knows.

Since my son has had the band I have took him back at least five times. Its

been almost four weeks when he got his band. But im not complaning because we

have seen results. Good luck with the red spots your doing the right thing by

asking.

> Hi Bee, Thank you for the help. On the Wilderness Family Website are you

talking about the Pure Castile soaps for shampoo? I just want to make sure its

the right thing. Also,..is it unneccesary to use conditionar in your hair? After

I apply the coconut oil and let it sit for 10-20 mins..do I just wash it out

with water or do I was it with shampoo? Thank you very much!!

+++Hi Keri. Yes, Dr. Bonner's Pure Castile soap, which can be used as a

shampoo.

I don't think conditioner is necessary. You wash out coconut oil with shampoo

since it is an oil which water can't wash out.

Keri, I don't know if wilderness family has Dr Bronner's conditioner, but iherb

does. dbr-97001. I have also rinsed my hair with a tbs of baking soda mixed in

water, or apple cider Vinegar in water. If still dry, I use a dab of jojoba oil,

or coconut oil. I shampoo with dr bronner's magic soap, or dr woods shea vision

pure black soap with shea butter, wilderness family may have it too. iherb has

that drw-52318. Hope that helps. Anyone notices their hair not looking as gray

since being on the diet? Mine is not as gray.

C.

, Thank you very much for all the information!!!

Keri
