Guest guest Posted February 13, 2008 Report Share Posted February 13, 2008 Once when my DS was about 4 or 5, he had an ear infection, he was prescribed amoxicyllin (ya know, the pink stuff) and the first night, I had to hold him down to take it... it was terrible!! Then the next night, I got the bright idea to call it "" medicine -- the starfish from SpongeBob... he actually took it without a fuss!! And all this before I knew he had AS... wish I had known, though... No other meds for coughs,,,,and darnit, if it didnt' work. Sounds freaky, but it worked for us. ( ) active sick kids How do you keep a sick ADHD/Asperger child from being overly active while sick? My son won't stay still for even a minute and that brings on really bad coughing. How do you get them to take medicine? My son is on one for behaviors that I can sneak in his orange juice but he can always detect cold medicines in anything. Thanks!
