This injection received contained " peptides " . This

reminded me of a mercury chelation supplement " PCA-Rx " .

The " P " in this stands for " peptide " . I remember

that Glenn was interested in this supplement at

one time. Did you try it, Glenn? Has anyone?

Here's a website which sells it (a bottle costs $125):

I was going to test PCA-Rx but then learned that it didn't work as

advertised. They claim that it removes heavy metal and completely

encapsulates mercury so it can safely get out of system. But some people

who have tested it said they still experienced free mercury poisoning their

bodies. So I chose other chelators.

Glenn,

I Still want to find out exactly what the definition of a peptide is. I'm

going to do a search to see what I can find.

The injections I'm taking sound pretty different. It's not a chelator. I know

that. It's supposed to affect the way the immune system works. I'll try to find

out more.

P.S. Are you the moderator? Did you see the post that came in from Ellen

Hellingwerf? That person scares me. Can you check out anything else like that

that comes in please. Thanks.

M.

PCA-Rx is also supposed to affect the way the immune system works,

and is primarily " good bacteria " , so I don't see any inconsistencies

yet.

Heh, my wife (the yoga teacher) explained to me that this was based on

Kundalini. It didn't scare her...

Oh, and *I* am the moderator. It's hard to say where I should

draw the line on what is acceptable and what is not... although perhaps

Ellen, you should tone down your posts a bit... :-)

Well, it appears that more than one chelator has gone by the name

" PCA " , so there is a lot of confusion in general about PCA-Rx:

Considering this recent peptide/ES news, I'm gonna give it a try...

will report later...

I just recalled that the company that produces the glutathione supplement

HMS-90 also has a peptide product. I have a bottle at home which I never

tried, so will give it a try. It is also inexpensive:

It might have to be a very specific peptide to give the " magic bullet " effect

that has reported. There are lots of different peptides, and lots of them

are in our gut already. They are formed from chains of amino acids, which are

the building blocks for proteins, and are one of the main digestive products in

our gut. So, in one sense, nothing that startling about them!

Supplements providing peptides are likely to be trying to correct nutritional

deficiencies or problems in digestion/absorption (by providing what we would

normally get from digested protein in a form that's already broken down and may

be easier for the body to take in).

The preparation supplied to sounds as if it is intended to work on a

completely different principle - to stop at source all the antibodies triggering

uncontrollable allergic reactions that cause us problems. Probably that means a

very specific mix of particular peptides, so it's unlikely that standard

supplements would have anything like the same mix.

Will be very interesting to hear of 's future experience and that of other

people if they try this! It would be a great idea if it worked. It might not

work the same for everyone, as everyone's individual mix of symptoms, causes and

sensitivities seems to be a bit different.

I just mean that perhaps you should try to write messages that other

people can understand, and also that are on-topic for this group. If

you're trying to help others, you're not doing a very good job if

you're scaring them or leaving them scratching their heads trying

to figure out what you are trying to communicate.

Hi All, I am new to this group

My name is Bettina, I live in South Africa, I am a mother of three.

Our youngest son, Sebastian, 4yrs, has brain damage. we recently did

urine stool and hair tests. sebastian has high levels of mercury lead

aluminium arsenic so I have decided he may be classified as autistic.

he has inflammatory bowel disease Sebastian is non verbal. The main

issues we have always had is cramping after eating, he is on a gfcf

diet. i recently bought ENZYMES by DEFelice and i think this is

the best book i have read so far. i have been researching for four

years.

just a quick question I have started sebastian on Digest from

enzymedica , it includes protease at 42000 hut. what is the difference

between protease to break down protein and peptidase to break down

peptides. does the protease not break down the protein sufficiently.

i have started at a 1/4 capsule and now after a week give 1/2 at

mealtimes the recommended dosage for children under three is 1/2

capsule. do you find children with bad digestion need more or do you

follow the guidelines.

i am really hoping this will be the start of something good for

sebastian.

thanks love from sa

Hi Tina,

Protease is enough for most people. And it's enough for our kids if

they're GFCF 100% of the time. But if our kids get any gluten or casein,

they do not digest them completely, even with protease. They need the

peptidase to break down the peptides that are left by partially-digested

gluten/casein.

You say your son is four and you've been researching four years. How old

was he when you noticed something different about him? My son was six

months, though it took me much longer to get help for him.
