Lead in dishware

Hi dear listmates,

My son test result came with lead in the red. Today I bought whole bunch of

lead test sticks and tested every thing suspicious at home and sure enough the

glaze on all ceramic dishware I bought last year from Target is the only

culprit I found. Sadly, I bought these dishes to replace older dishware that I

thought may not be safe (the old ones tested lead free).

Any way, off to shop for dishes now. I guess I am going for all glass this

time. Just wanted to let you know not to trust modern dishware. Appearently

they still use lead glazes eventhough these are low fire ceramics. It makes me

so mad.

Best,

Haleh
