Guest guest
How are his stools? Is he having regular movements? Does he clear his throat alot(acid reflux) ie. night waking/vomiting. Bad breath(possilbe backup), is he bloated/gassy? Most important, how are his stools and how frequent? Recently, i've tried rice cereal in the bottle & looks like he's unable to tolerate it (tantrum & tapping on the stomach).. i suspect he has GI issues. May i know what are the enzymes available in treating GI?. He also has SID. All this behaviours happens at night when he's awake in between feeds 1. Night waking 2. Giggly 3. Ocassional crying 3. Bad breath 4. Vomit (a little) 5. Teeth Grinding (stimming) I really don't know what i can feed him now. He's not gaining weight properly because of this. I'm also not sure how can determine whether he has yeast issue or viral issue. The only food he takes since he was born is milk. Only for the last 3 months i removed Casein. His milk now is from corn starch. Thanks, -gee __________________________________________________________ Do you ? Guest guest
Re Teeth grinding is stimming behavior? Max does it in his sleep. Hi Stimming is generally done to serve a purpose - eg relieve stress - so it would be unusual for a " stim " to occur during sleep. In our house, teeth grinding was a sign of magnesium deficiency. Supplementing with magnesium citrate solved the issue. Good luck

This is a common sign that the child's body does not tolerate the drink in the body. Is it milk? If so, try sprinkling a little HNI AFP Peptizyde into the bottle with the milk, see if that helps. http://www.houstonni.com/ > All this behaviours happens at night when he's awake > in between feeds > 1. Can be a few other things also, but those are the most common http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm > 5. Teeth Grinding (stimming) This was mineral imbalance for my kids. Most kids need added zinc, so try that first. One of my kids needed zinc/copper and cal/mag. It can also mean yeast in the sinuses. > The only food he takes since he was born is milk. Only > for the last 3 months i removed Casein. His milk now > is from corn starch. For my son, corn was much worse than regular milk, and was not addressed by enzymes. What about Vance's Dari-Free [potato milk]? Or, just give him water for a few days and see if he will start eating simple foods you offer him. Dana
Guest guest
Yes, I agree with Dana, corn was much worse for my son than milk. My son is very similar to yours, he is 2 1/2 and drinks about 8 bottles of formula a day. I took him off infant formula and put him on Neocate (I think you have to have a prescription in the US to get it.) It is an amino acid formula (short-chain proteins) and it has been miraculous in my son. I never thought he would be sensitive to corn but when we give it to him, he goes into complete meltdown. It sounds like your son may have reflux. Has he been diagnosed with reflux? We now have my son eating two plates of food a day and he's doing much better. He still wakes in the night hungry for a bottle but at least he can now drink water from a cup and eat solids. When he gets sickly, however, he does not eat any solids at all so perhaps your son isn't feeling well in some way. I really sympathise, it's very difficult having a child who will only take a bottle. Take care, Darla London, UK
