Guest guest
Melinda and all, Can you explain in detail what a yeasty stool looks and smells like. I suspect we have yeast problems. My daughter has had muddy, light yellowish stools with undigested food (primarily potatoes). Prior to the GF/CF diet, if she entered a room my husband and I would look at each other and say, " its your turn to get that one. " Litterally she could stink up and entire room. Now her poops stink but not that bad and usually have to check her diaper to see if she has gone. Two days after she started the B12 shots, her stools resembled a stomach virus look and smell. Also, can any of you recommend a yeast kill protocol other than a perscription pad. We aren't due to meet with her doctor for a while. Thanks Tonya melindafaith2005 <melindafaith2005@...> wrote: Not sure what is the cause: Viral die-off, yeast over growth, or too much of a supplement. Her stools are looking pretty good but seems to be moving more to an every other day schedule. She usually has big bulcky yeasty stools when yeast is a problem. I am wondering if the yeast could possibly not be affecting her stools but may still affect her mood etc. ???? Last weekend I tried bumping up ViraStop from 1/2 cap twice a day to one capsule twice a day. She was not ready for this. Stools slowed way down and she was very irritable and I think I even saw her up on her toes again. One thing I noticed was that I did not see hardly any of the usual yeast in her stools. She was very feverish and warm to touch but not running a temp. I have been giving her 4mg of biotin twice a day for awhile which has helped tremendously. This is the first supplement that I would consider might be causing the problem so I dropped it down to 2 mg twice daily starting today. I also increased magnesium remember that I have heard that biotin uses it up. Also eye-contact was off some what this morning. My husband has not been feeling well (viral) and another child of ours has been really cranky. Maybe she is fighting off something she has recently been exposed too and that is why we are still seeing excessive irritability even with ViraStop back down to 1/2 capsule twice a day. We added in Colostrum 6 days before I attempted to bump up ViraStop. We are using Kirkman. She seemed to be doing better after adding this. We are giving 1/2 tsp twice daily and today is the 10th day. We are due to start another round of chelation this afternoon. She always does better on round and I am hoping that this round will not be an exception. Recently we never know what to expect from her whether it is kind or abrupt.
