Guest guest
Hi Libby - I forgot to ask you on the previous post, did you apply any type of anti-itch ointment to your son's skin to alleviate the itch? If so, any that you can recommend would be very helpful? Thanks, Martha
Guest guest
Not Libby, but I've been getting some itchy rash-type elimination spots myself (mostly on my upper left arm near where my vaccination scar is, and sometimes on my back, over my spine). What works for me is coconut oil : it alleviates the itching and makes it heal faster. May not work for everyone, but it even worked for my poison oak, and for my granddaughter's diaper rash. Just my 2 cents . . . Guest guest
Aveeno makes a line of products they have a baby eczema cream, and oatmeal baths that help with itching. I have used hydrocortisone before, but I felt weird about that as it's a steroid, I used it sparingly for only a couple days. The bumps on his bottom eventually broke and dried up, it was while they were under the surface they seemed to bother him the most. I know the health food store has a lot of products, but of course I can't think of one name. Maybe someone else knows? sorry I'm not more help. Hope its going better today. Guest guest
Thanks!!! I didn't think of coconut oil....I have a huge jar for cooking. I also bought aloe vera gel today and applied it on his bottom. It seems to soothe him. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi Libby - Thanks for your message. I can't use Aveeno as Tyler is gfcf. I went to the health food store today and they suggested aloe vera gel as it gives a layer of protection from clothing and soothes the skin. I bought some and applied it when he got home...seems to be helping. I can't use hydrocortisone cream unfortunately as Tyler is on LDN and it would cancel out LDN. Thanks for your message and feedback though. Martha > > Aveeno makes a line of products they have a baby eczema cream, and oatmeal baths that help with itching. Guest guest
Any brand of Evening Primrose Oil. Open capsules and spread oil on affected area. At a minimum, it will INSTANTLY feel better. If you're lucky, it will cure eczema. It did for me, and for the kids of several friends of mine. > > Hi Libby - I forgot to ask you on the previous post, did you apply any > type of anti-itch ointment to your son's skin to alleviate the itch? > If so, any that you can recommend would be very helpful? > > Thanks, > Martha >
