Hello listmates,

My six year old has chronic anterior uveitis and juvenille rheumatoid

arthritis. She is currently on steroid eye drops and we are concerned

about the direction that steroid drops can take because 50% of

children on this method lose vision permanently. Other methods of

preserving vision include immonosuppressive medication for approx five

years. We are checking into other options but time is critical.

I would like to hear your input on how to stop inflammation in her

body partially through enzymes, but which ones?

Prior to being diagnosed with uveitis/arthritis she had the chicken

pox and was screaming that her eyes hurt. This was with the fever

befor chicken pox. So, I specifically wonder about enzymes that may

reduce inflammaion and viruses. I am familiar with the houstons trio

and virastop, having used those on our oldest son. I realize enzymes

can just be one piece and wonder which ones would you use and how to

dose them.

My daughter has uveitis, specifically pars planitis (cause not

known). This is a very complicated condition, and the treatments

options are also complicated. You can e-mail me for more info.
