Guest guest
I have two quick questions....hoping someone can give me insight for my NT baby (almost 16 months). He's had bumps on his legs gthat form, leave a small white spot, decrease in size and height and then turn a bit crusty, but not like chicken pox, and then scab and disappear about 2 weeks later. One ped said it looked like a bug bite, but I insisted they weren't. 4 popped up overnight on one leg and 2 this morning. They have been appearing since late July...I've had the doc look at the 15 month well baby and another visit for Ronan in the last month. Well, the other ped did a quick look and said it's giannoti-crosti virus syndrome, the US strain, not Italian. It works its way over the legs and then up the body. We're just starting to see some on his face. I'm curious if I can do some biomedical stuff for him. He's not itchy, doesn't seem affected by the little guys and we're almost at the 3 month mark when they usually go away. His poops are getting bad...is it realted since it's the end of their duration? He's pooping out foods that he just ate within the last 6 and even 1 hour. The foods aren't being digested and BMs are coming at least 3-4 times a day. Onto my 2 year old who's been seeing the chiro. I just pulled out our genetics history from a trip to UNC in March. One finding that I just didn't remember reading about all this time came when the genetics doc looked over some x-rays we brought with us. One happened to be a chest x-ray when Ronan had the croup and flu at 12 months. This is his findings: " The lateral neck view seemed normal except the top of the odontoid did not quite come up the the top of C1. " Man! That's pretty huge I think. I'm going to share this report and the x-rays with our chiro. tomorrow when we go at 4:30. I'm also waiting to hear from the genetics counselor about some deficiencies they reported from Ronan's amino acid tests. No one called with any advice for some that are in the high and low ranges (most were in the normal range). Am I supposed to discover months later that we could have had someone helping us with possible vitamin deficiency/amino acid level issues? Am I just overreacting since I'm reading so much before our next neuro and genetics appts. next Tuesday? I have a bad habit of reading everything I can get my hands on. So if this is a sign of a virus syndrome, I would tend to agree with it. >>It works its way over the legs and then up the body. We're just starting to see some on his face. My son's bumps started on his chest/belly, then migrated to his arms and legs, then his face. >>I'm curious if I can do some biomedical stuff for him. I use olive leaf extract and ViraStop/AFP Peptizyde enzyme. >>He's not itchy, My son's rash was " somewhat " itchy, he scratched it occasionally but not all the time. >>doesn't seem affected by the little guys and we're almost at the 3 month mark when they usually go away. My son's rash lasted about a month, but I was using olive leaf extract at the time. >>The foods aren't being digested and BMs are coming at least 3-4 times a day. My son either throws up or has bm issues when viruses are leaving. Dana
