Guest guest
Where did you get coconut water?? I have been reading about BED (body ecology diet) and think it is probably a great way to kill yeast and heal the gut. But, the idea of trying to implement it with a 3year old just seems overwhelming!! I'd love to hear how you are using it with your child/yourself. What are some simple things I could do to help my daughter?? She has yeast issues - just recently identified and I am hoping to figure out somethings that will help! Guest guest
Hi, Christy. Sorry I don't have the answers you're looking for. 1. I hope Galena or Kay or someone else can answer how they knew their children's yeast was gone. (For myself, when I can do the " spit test " without the " strings, " that'll be a sign. We're not doing lab tests.) 2. They make kefir themselves with *real* kefir grains or kefir starter from Body Ecology. Galena uses nut milk ( " store bought hazelnut milk Ecomil " ). I'm about to try it with coconut water. 3. This question is beyond my experience, as our guts are not yet healed, and we haven't done any chelation. Anyone else? Guest guest
We get Harvest Bay brand coconut water by the case from a local natural food store. It's in tetrapaks, which is very convenient. At this time in my life, if I had to use fresh coconuts, it would definitely be more overwhelming. Although the BED sounds like a beneficial program, I don't think it's necessary to follow all their recommendations to receive benefit. From what I've read, kefir (whatever one uses as the base: coconut water, almond milk, cow's milk, etc.) is a real key to getting a handle on yeast issues, and folks are saying their kids will drink it. I'll let the list know when we ourselves have some experience with coconut water kefir. It sounds really easy to make--my first batch should be done by Sunday sometime, so we'll see how it goes for us, next week. And maybe some list mates who have already been using kefir will chime in with some words of wisdom or encouragement! I am not the person who posted the initial message, but I can tell when my son's yeast is gone by watching his symptoms. > 3. My son's gut was healed when he tolerated all foods without enzymes, and he no longer had a gut-yeast issue. This required use of enzymes, supplementation with B vitamins [among other things], and ALA chelation. You can interpret the hair test here http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html Dana

These symptoms were gone in a week. Cleaning other behavorial issues (brain yeast, probably?) took longer. But in a week I surely did know that the yeast were UNDER CONTROL. I can not ELIMINATE them completely, because normally they are part of our flora. Healthy immune system does not kill all the yeasts, just keeps them low. Since my son's immune system does not work properly, I have to help him with this - by giving kefur daily. He still has many gut issues, like caroten/lutein sensitivity and bad viral load. Still he gets diarrhea if he had some offending food, but it will be just a few bubbles in it at the worst. Dana sayd that bad yeast can not be taken under control until chelation. Yes, I tackled yeasts without it, but I beleive his guts can't be healed completely untill chelation. > 2. As a matter of fact you can find storebought kefir in conevntional supermarkets almost in every country of Eastern Europe - Rusiia, Poland, Germany etc . I can assure you that babies in these countries are given kefir from 6 months. And they can eat sauerkraut as soon as they can eat raw veggies. Hope this will make you feel better )) Galina > > > > > > but I still like to control the > > > yeast.
