Guest guest
Hi, Yes, we have done CST with my son when he was four. He is now six. It DID help him deal with some emotional issues and was very focused on his mouth. They used a rubber glove and worked inside his mouth which he enjoyed and would allow for an hour or MORE at a time!!! It was very interesting. We loved our therapist and would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. Her name is Gunter. She is a Mom and a former OT. I had a weird thought the other day: I have an AS son, 4, and a NT son, 2, and so far I only thought about the things that the older one experienced, but not the younger one (extreme antiobiotic use) in order to pinpoint possible causes. But then I remembered that the younger one received 2 months of cranio-sacral threapy as an infant (for a miss-aligned skull plate). May that prevented ASD somehow? It certainly avoided ear infections due to a freed eustachian tube. Just a thought - happy about any input! Christiane
