Guest guest
For us, it was the need for my son to get proprioceptive input into his joints and legs.... sensory issue. For others, it can be related to constipation issues and with holding behaviors in having a BM. Jackie--- > ...what is the significance of toe walking? Guest guest
Does anyone have any recommendations on which supplements to take to curb toe walking? Thanks!
Guest guest
Anything that deals with keeping glutamates down helped us with toe walking: magnesium, zinc, pycnogenol, GABA, grape seed extract, B6, etc. Staying off high glutamates foods like tomatoes, parmesan cheese, MSG, aspartame really helped too. For more info, look at Dr. Yasko's website www.holistichealth.com - under her papers look for one on neurological inflammation in autism: http://www.holistichealth.com/Publications/39BC94DD-846B-4545-8DE3-DD6069EF1C33.\ html For us, if we got the neurological inflammation down, the toe walking went away.
