If there are no noticeable improvements that fade, you can increase the dose every 2-3 weeks if you want. That is what I am doing with two of my kids. Guest guest
>>> For a neurotypical 3 yr. old how do you know when to up the dose of ViraStop? I generally say to increase the ViraStop 1 or 2 capsules per day unless you see regression or adjustment effects. Some people see a reaction with the addition of every capsule, whereas others see nothing until you get to a much higher dose. Remember that the stair- step pattern may not appear at all. It is more that if you do see it, you can know this is characteristic of the viral control and not that you are doing something wrong. I did not see this pattern in myself or with my older son. >>>My daugther with PDD has viral issues and thus tones of yeast > with viral die-off. With her I can see cognitive improve and wane. Really interesting how this pattern emerges. It was one of the more interesting discoveries from our trials. .
Guest guest
My son experienced stomach upset and irritability after only 1/2 capsule. He also has noticeable yeast signs for the first time - red ring around anus, constipation and white specks in the stool. Guess I'm lucky he is so neurotypical. I am going to increase his vitamin c intake, improve his yeast protocal and wait a few weeks before adding ViraStop. My daughter with PDD has been on ViraStop since the start of July. We have only been able to work up to 1/2 capsule twice a day or the yeast gets too bad. Last fall we were able to get the yeast under control with the use of Nystatin, SCD for six months, probiotics and o of o. After we got the yeast under control I noticed that we were getting wonderful eye-contact and improved cognitive with anti- virals. We added Epicor in June and after three weeks of being on it on top of biotin, o of o, Del-Immune V, Kirkman probiotics and Candidase we were finally able to tolerate 1/2 a capsule of ViraStop every few days. After advice from the group we started giving sprinkles more frequently. She can currently tolerate 1/2 capsule twice a day or the yeast gets too bad. We started her on Vitamin C last January and slowly worked up to 1,000 mg four times a day. Once we were up to 1,000 mg it only took a couple of weeks than we saw loose stools. This took about seven months of vitamin c four times a day. We have backed that down to 500mg four times a day. Epicor has made the difference in being able to give her Virastop. We currently are giving 4mg of biotin twice a day. That has really helped. July 1 we started chelating using DMPS. She has deranged mineral transport per DDL hair analysis and high arsenic. Chelation using Andy's protocal doesn't seem to stir up the yeast. It's the dang viruses! Pushing ViraStop too hard we get aggression and irritability along with all the miserable yeast symptoms. Currently she has been more irritable and her memory has gotten worse. We just added in Colostrum yesterday and I plan to try astralagus root after I wait a bit. I am also considering the high vitamin A protocal and or valtrex. I have followed advice from this group and have seen AMAZING gains. Without this group I would be pretty much on my own. We have finally have our first appointment with a DAN (Usman) on the 30th. I am requesting a viral panel. Treating viruses has been one miserable process. Thanks for listening. Guest guest
Melinda, Thanks so much for writing! It's great to know the group is helping, and fantastic that your kids are getting better. The interaction of yeast with viral problems is really a bear to deal with. One is hard enough but having both makes it hard to get a grip on the situation. Thanks also for the detailed tips on what you found to work! .
