Just a quick question. I read that chewing clothing is an indication of

a nutritional deficiency, but am not sure what he is missing. Does

anyone have any info to share on this???

Thanks,

Louise

DeFelice's book " Enzymes Go With Your Gut " says it's either a

magnesium or zinc deficiency.

It's absolutely true for my daughter... calls it the " chewies " ...

Commonly zinc deficiency.

For my #3, it meant food or supplement intolerance, or yeast overgrowth.

For my son we up the zinc and the chewing increased. But we just added oral

magnesium and the chewing has stopped. Might try that too if zinc does not

help.

Hi, my son also is chewing everything, we just saw his DAN doctor last month.

and I have told he is chewing everything, including his shirts, new clothes,

actually looks like rats been chewing on his clothes. lol! she told me to put

him on molybdenum supplement. I think I have spelled it right. and that should

help. I thought it was comming from the MB-12 shots. she said no, had something

to do with his zinc. and molybdenum regulates the zinc and copper ratio, from

what i was reading. I haven't had a chance to buy it yet. but so anxious to do

so and see. he is still chewing on everything along with the stimming and

grabbing my clothes and my daugthers clothes anything that has strings that you

tie on your clothes he is even chewing on that. I would try that. if the other

does not work. good luck and let me know how it went. I am curious. since my son

is going thru the same thing.
