As yeast is dying off, it can cause the body to crave carbs and sugar. This is actually a good sign. >>And, if we are not successful at getting him > to have a yeast free diet will the diflucan work at all? " Yeast free " is not what you want. Reduced/limited carbs, starches, and sugars will be beneficial. More info here http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm >> Are there > any herbal yeast fighters that can be used along with the diflucan? Candidase, No-Fenol, Candex. >>Can I still use activated charcoal with diflucan? Yes, give it about 30-45 minutes after the Diflucan. >> Is pear > juice better than white grape juice? If so when should I give it to him? Right now we are giving it before dinner. Then I have added 1 capsule of activated charcoal about an hour after he has his diflucan. After his diflucan he gets very silly and out of it- is this die off? He hasn't had any constipation since he is on the diflucan. I've noticed more red ears since being on it. Is this from die off? Usually he gets red ears at the same time as his bowel movements and then the red ears last for at least an hour. Is this due to the yeast being moved around during bms? Sometimes he gets very hyper right before or after a bm. He usually acts better after the Bm though. His appetite is down (except for lollipops and raisins that he keeps leading me to the closet for and I don't give in). His sleep has improved though- no more night wakings when he is on antifungals. He has been more moody and tired lately. How much activated charcoal is good for a 3 yr old who weighs 31 lbs? Also, does goat's milk contain casein? Do you think enzyme complete II from kirkman's is a good enzyme? Is it any better than the Houston Trio? My DAN dr. didn't say it was better than houston trio but he prescribed the Kirkman enzymes. Also, My son's celiac panel came back normal and his gluten intolerance test came back normal- but, his celia gene blood test came back as " results cannot exclude celiac disease " - do you know what this might mean? I think it means they found something but couldn't link it to celiac one way or another - but of course they never explain in detail exactly what it is they have found. My son's sugar cravings are terrible!!!! Do you still give B vitamins if your kids have yeast as long as you are doing a yeast protocol too? Because he has hypoglycemia all the B vitamins would really help him. Is there some way that b vitamins can be given as to bypass the gut and which b vitamins don't add to the yeast problems? Because I really think he could use b1 thiamine because he eats mostly rice for grains and eats barely any veggies. Sorry so long. I have so many questions and my DAN doctor never has the time to answer them all. Also, What do you think of Threelac? I was thinking about trying it on myself first because I have yeast issues and any time I try to treat them with enzymes I seem to get heart palpitations and stomach upsets. Do you know if you can use Goldenseal with Diflucan? He seemed to do so well on it before and his nutritionist had reccommended it. Do you know about using aloe to help with leaky gut and if so can it be used even if you have a yeast problem? Thank you again in advance, I am in such a bad state tonight because my dog is going into kidney failure and he will die if I don't get him on supplements, meds, subcutaneous fluids, prescription dog food - all of which will run about 250 a month and the supplements for my son are now about $300 a month - so, I may have to have my dog put to sleep because I cannot afford to do both and he was my baby before my son was and I feel so bad. But, anyway. So I am desperate for help for my son. Really appreciate it. Wanda

No, I used natural anti-fungals. > After his diflucan he gets very silly and out of it- is this die off? It might be. > He hasn't had any constipation since he is on the diflucan. This is a good sign. Yeast can be constipating. >> I've > noticed more red ears since being on it. It could be, altho red ears is commonly a sign of phenol intolerance, possibly other foods. What are the ingredients of the Diflucan? Does it have dye or flavor? Those would be high phenol. Try giving the Diflucan with No-Fenol, see if that helps. Or have it compounded without dyes or flavors. >>How much activated charcoal is > good for a 3 yr old who weighs 31 lbs? I don't know, I have never used it. You can start with 1/4 the recommended dose on the label tho, see if that helps. >> Also, does goat's milk contain > casein? Yes, altho it is more easily digested than cow milk casein. >> Do you think enzyme complete II from kirkman's is a good > enzyme? I have never used it. I have read some good stories about it from other parents. Most parents report their kids do better with HNI tho. >>Also, My son's celiac panel came back normal and his gluten > intolerance test came back normal- but, his celia gene blood test came > back as " results cannot exclude celiac disease " - do you know what this > might mean? Yes, but I increased the yeast protocol. >>Is there some > way that b vitamins can be given as to bypass the gut B12 shots, transdermal for the others.
