I have info here http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm > My daughter has had muddy, light yellowish stools with undigested food (primarily potatoes). My son did not tolerate potatoes except with Zyme Prime enzyme. Do you use an enzyme? Dana
Guest guest
Tonya, For my daughter yeast causes constipation. Sometimes we see white specks and other times they are much larger like cottage cheese. Dana's info on yeast and constipation is one that I need to frequently review. We use probotics, oil of oregano, biotin, candidase and epicor. Melinda > > Melinda and all, > > Can you explain in detail what a yeasty stool looks and smells like. Guest guest
Melinda - How much biotin are you giving? My daughter is taking 900mcg. Also, can I buy candidase and epicor without a perscription and is that for yeast? And is the oil of oregano for constipation. Her poops are mostly muddy but kind of ironic, when she was a baby she had constipation. Also, which probiotic do you use? Thanks Tonya melindafaith2005 <melindafaith2005@...> wrote: Tonya, For my daughter yeast causes constipation. Sometimes we see white specks and other times they are much larger like cottage cheese. Guest guest
Tonya, My daughter is 4 yrs old and approx. 35 pounds. We use 4mg of biotin from Pure Encapsulations twice daily. This particular brand and strength requires a health practitioners script. It has been said that biotin uses up magnesium so you might need to increase magnesium when using large amounts of biotin. Candidase is from Enzymedica and is an enzyme formuation that helps manage yeast overgrowth. You can use this with probiotics. Oil of oregano is an anti-fungal thus helps my daughter's constipation since it is due to yeast. Make sure that anti-fungals are given at least two hours apart from probiotics. We have used probiotics from Kirkman, Klaire, Pure Research Products (Delpro)among others. Epicor just came out in June 05 and is an immune modulator. It has helped us alot with yeast and immune issues and is by Vitamin Research Products. You can buy all of the above without a prescription with the exception that the brand of biotin we use needs to be purchased with a practitioners approval. Its best to add in one supplement at a time to watch for tolerance. Melinda > > Melinda - How much biotin are you giving? My daughter is taking 900mcg.
