Guest guest
My 8 yo NT daughter has been CFGFSFCornF for 6-9 months (stuff came out sequentially, starting with CF). We've used enzymes x 6 months (Zyme Prime, AFP), probiotics x 4 months. I've tried a casein challenge with enzymes, several months ago and it failed (aggression etc). I will try again in a few months, again with enzymes. Here's my question: the rationale for the SCD seems to be that carbohydrates aren't well digested if they are not simple carboyhydrates (like honey, fruit). Is this rationale lost, if you use enzymes? I'm asking because I'm at the crossroads for deciding whether the current all free diet is the way to keep going. I'm considering the SCD but can't see it would be that much better than what we are doing WITH enzymes. I'm also considering IgG testing as funny things like peanut butter and maybe hummus (that we were using a lot of) now seem to be causing problems. Thanks, Sue
