I thought virus issues were over after a year on anti-virals, and I removed the anti-virals, and then my son got a cold and the cold virus went straight into his brain. Viruses are nasty things! Be sure the immune system is functioning well before removing the anti-virals. One thing you can watch for, is how much vitamin C you can give in a day without it causing diarrhea. Another thing is if you can give anti-virals without causing a yeast issue. Dana I am kinda lost...as usual...what does level of C mean....my kids take 2000-3000 mg C everyday...and no problems.....is that good or bad....lol....does the higher level mean more viruses...or less....I am sorry...just not understanding... thanks Ronni

The immune system requires vitamin C to work effectively. If you can give 3000mg vitamin C every day without diarrhea, then the immune system is deficient in vitamin C. At one point I was giving my son 24 grams [24,000mg] vitamin C without diarrhea. USRDA is approx 100mg, if that gives you any idea of how deficient you might be! Anyway, if you can give that much without diarrhea, then I would say the immune system is compromised by deficiency of vitamin C, maybe other things also.
