I realize that most in this group have children dealing with loose/diarrhea

stools. I just feel it is important for some to consider/pay close attention to

clues that when there is a blockage, that diarrhea/especially watery with

strong/foul smell, when there is blockage/severe constipation, then the new

stool liquifies and squeezes around the hard stool. This does make it difficult

to determine treatment(is it blockage or is it true diarrhea?). We experienced

this first hand and thought our gastro was NUTS " literally " to think that with

our son experiencing watery/very loose stools that he wanted to treat with more

things to get him going????/cleanout etc. We actually fought with him about

that,(wasnt pretty, he did call later and apologized and then explained, didnt

at the time of treatment, blockage/watery stools connection). Recently did a

magnesium citrate cleanout on our son and did clear up the runny stools. He

typically struggles with constipation issues though, so

be leary on the true cause of the backup symptoms and make sure gastro can

verify!! Jennie<><

There are probably foods he is eating now, that the enzymes are not

addressing. Try removing the new foods, but keep the enzymes. Do

this for a few days, see if the bms improve.
