Guest guest
I am new to posting here, but have been checking out the posts for a long time. I have three kids, one who is strictly on the SCD for behavioral and digestive issues and has been for 18months. I started enzymes (Zyme Prime only) about 3 months ago and made it over the final hump behaviorally and digestively. Enzymes seemed to be the last piece of the puzzle and really my son is now indistinguishable from his peers and his poops are normal. But...about one week ago I started adding some gluten free grains into his diet via the Nourishing Traditions route and also gave him one homemade GFCF sweet treat a few days ago that had Rapadura sugar in it I also gave him a sprinkling of both No-Fenol and AFP Pep 2 days ago to slowly add these into the plan too. Today he had a horrible big mushy poop. We haven't seen this since the initial adjustment to the enzymes. I know I probably did too much at once so it is hard to determine what may be causing the change today, but does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks, molly
Guest guest
Sounds like the No Fenol tackled a bit of a yeast issue. Makes sense if carbs were an issue for him. Epsom salts help during the adjustment. To this day, 5 years later, we still soak my son's feet in Epsom salts before he goes to bed. For us, when tackling yeast, we've added Candex and Candidase and that does a remarkable sweeping out job. Good luck. Uh Oh!
