Nutribiotics makes an ear drop that is a combination of GSE and tea tree

oil. I have just purchased it, but have not had an opportunity to put it to

work yet, so I can't tell you how well it works.

For my dd I found the following combination to really work very

well, better than antibiotics: Homeopathic ear pain tablets, garlic

& mullein oil drops in the ear, and a chiropractic adjustment.

If the ear infections are bacterial, try giving olive leaf extract, I

use it very successfully as an anti-bacterial with my kids.

If the ear infections are yeast [for my kids, ear infections are

yeast], try giving GSE or other anti-fungal.

I used enzymes and several supplements for my lupus issue. I have

read lots of stories here about enzymes helping with fibro issues.

My son has had fluid in his ears for 2 months and his has never gone

into an infection I'm sure because of what I'm giving him.

Transfer Factor

Sambucol for Kids

Mullein Oil ear drops.he actually says it feels great when I put the

drops in.

I also got a sample from our Doc of the ear numbing stuff to relieve the

pain. It's by Bausch and Lomb called Antipyrine & Benzocaine.

Last summer when he got an ear infection he did all of this with 2

homeopathic remedies and it cleared up and we were able to avoid

antibiotics.

Here is a blurb from Super Immunity for kids on Ear Infections (but it

could be applied for adults).

1. If you have an infection and need to take antibiotics, take

Nystatin suspension 4x a day, continuing for a week until they are off

the antibiotic.

2. Give Lactobacillus Bifidus to restore good bacteria.

3. Give 1-2 teaspoons of flaxseed oil a day or 2-4 teaspoons of

walnut oil

4. Give 500-1000 mg of Vitamin C a day. If diarrhea, cut back.

5. You need Zinc, Iron and Vitamin A (egg yolks, and liver). Cod

Liver Oil is a good source of Vit A and Omega -3s, but avoid Vit A

overdose.

please don't use zithromax- especially on a child. It is unnecessarily

strong, and has been described to me by a Dr. like 'throwing bleach on

something'.

I tried that once on myself and ended up with hours of miserable itchy ears.

Hi Selena,

I am so glad MB 12 worked for you well.

I have very little experience with ear infections and bacterial infections

altogether. My son very rarely gets them and has only had one or may be two

ear infections his entire life. Seems like you are getting great feed back

from the wonderful veteran moms in this group.

Hope all is well.

Best,

Haleh

Selena,

Studies show that antibiotics have very little effect on ear

infections; however, antibiotics have a huge detrimental effect on

many of our systems.

Here I use garlic and mullein oil as ear drops as soon as my

children start to feel any bit of ear pain. I use it on my autistic

son a couple times a week because he cannot tell me when there is

pain. I buy the Eclectic Kids brand. It almost always works

overnight. Before I knew any better, my daughter was on antibiotics

a number of times for ear infections. More than once, her eardrum

still burst. Since I've started using the drops and addressing her

yeast issues (the result of the antibiotics) she does NOT get ear

infections.

Best wishes,

Anita

I think this reply should go out to Selena? I couldn't tell who

posted the original on ear infections. But I wanted to tell you you

have LOTS of natural options for an ear infection! If it is

bacterial, viral, or yeast, I strongly recommend 'Seagate' Earache

Remedy (www.seagateproducts.com) It is a homeopathic solution that

uses GSE and Olive Leaf in a liquid form that you drop into the ear.

Also, Colloidal Silver (10 ppm) is great for dropping into the ear as

well. Internally, I have had great success with 'Taheebo' (liquid

form of Pau d' Arco herb) or Liquid form of Olive Leaf Extract. Read

the labels and reduce the doses according to the age of your child.

Both Taheebo and Olive Leaf are 'antimicrobial' which means they will

kill all three pathogens. Email me if you'de like more info. on

either of those products, I can also tell you what I've given my kids

internally for infections as well. Hope this helps.

Hi Selena

Recurrent ear infections can also be a sign of zinc deficiency. Liquid zinc

has no taste in water if the child is deficient so you can try it after the

current infection clears.

Also, ear infections are more likely to be a viral infection rather than a

bacterial one, which means the antibiotic isn't what makes it " get better "

anyway.

Good luck

:-)

Dilute it first, but yes, if the ear infection is related to yeast

overgrowth [which is the type of ear infections my kids usually get],

diluted GSE directly into the ear can help.
