It sounds to me like it's working. I was treated for yeast and I felt horible.

I was dizzy, headaches, nasuea, etc. It was worth it though. Pammie

My 4 yr old son's Organic Acids Profile came back showing elevated

yeast. His dandr Rx'd diflucan to treat the yeast. Well, it's been

one week exactly on it and my son is so stimmy and showing signs of ocd

and scripting - more then ever. He also has breakouts of eczema all

over his body. AND, his bowels have are yellowish with a fowel smell

to it (the kind of smell he used to have before we started with

enzymes). I've been giving him kirkman's probiotic gold capsules at

night (12 hours after the dose of diflucan), hoping that this would

help. Is what I've decribed above yeast die off? If so, how long does

this last? Any advice on how I can ease his symptoms?

Thank you in advance,

budsmom

This sounds like a combination of yeast die off and intolerance to the

Diflucan. Try giving it with No-Fenol, see if that helps.

You can also try giving activated charcoal about 45 minutes after the

Diflucan.

i've heard that activated charcoal, since it is a burned substance and all

burned substances can cause cancer, is a carcinogenic.

i was told never to give it to anyone - never mind a child...

anyone else heard that?

I have not heard this. Who told you this info? Is that source credible?

I do know that you are not supposed to give charcoal to a child, for

long-term use, because it absorbs everything, including nutrients,

supplements, etc. But occasional use, to absorb toxins etc,

especially if not given near food or supplements, has been very

beneficial for many kids.

I never had to use charcoal, because we never had yeast die off

symptoms here. Some kids have severe die off symptoms, so the

charcoal is very helpful until the yeast is finished dying off.

You may not even have any need to consider using it. Or, since you

are very uncomfortable with it, definitely don't use it.

We prefer to use vitamin C to bowel tolerance of epsom salts (cream or bath

or footbath).
