Guest guest
A powerful agent by itself, serrapeptase teamed with antibiotics delivers increased concentrations of the antimicrobial agent to the site of the infection. Bacteria often endure a process called biofilm formation, which results in resistance to antimicrobial agents. In an attempt to prevent this bacterial immunity, researchers have experimented with various means of inhibiting biofilm-embedded bacteria. Their search may have ended with serrapeptase. One study conducted by Italian researchers suggests that proteolytic enzymes could significantly enhance the activities of antibiotics against biofilms. Antibiotic susceptibility tests showed that serratiopeptidase greatly enhances the activity of the antibiotic, ofloxacin, and that it can inhibit biofilm formation.(28) Another double-blind randomized study evaluated the effects of administering the antibiotic cephalexin in conjunction with serrapeptase or a placebo to 93 patients suffering from either perennial rhinitis, chronic rhinitis with sinusitis or chronic relapsing bronchitis. The serratia peptidase treated group experienced significant improvement in rhinorrhea, nasal stuffiness, coryza and improvement of the para-nasal sinus shadows.(29) Researchers witnessed equally impressive results in the treatment of infections in lung cancer patients undergoing thoracotomy. Serrapeptase and cefotiam, an antibiotic with a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, were administered to 35 thoracotomy patients with lung cancer. The patients were divided into two groups. A single dose of cefotiam was administered to the 17 subjects in Group I. The 18 subjects in Group II received a combination of Cefotiam and serrapeptase. The level of the antibiotic in the tissues versus the blood was significantly higher in the serrapeptase group than the single dose group.(30) Cardiovascular Implications Hans A. Nieper, M.D., an internist from Hannover, Germany, studied the effects of serrapeptase on plaque accumulations in the arteries. The formation of plaque involves deposits of fatty substances, cholesterol, cellular waste products, calcium and fibrin (a clotting material in the blood) on the inner lining of the arteries. Excessive plaque results in partial or complete blockage of the blood's flow through an artery, resulting in arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, and an ensuing stroke or heart attack. The evidence to support serrapeptase's role in preventing plaque build-up is anecdotal. Still, further studies are called for in this area as Nieper's research indicated that the protein-dissolving action of serrapeptase will gradually break down atherosclerotic plaques.(31) Conclusion Regardless of whether serrapeptase is used for inflammatory diseases or to prevent plaque build up on the arteries, it is well-tolerated. Due to its lack of side effects and anti-inflammatory capabilities, serrapeptase is a logical choice to replace harmful NSAIDs. Thanks to the tiny larvae of the silk moth, researchers have taken a large step toward finding relief for inflammatory disease sufferers. http://www.enzymedica.com/protease_enzyme.php<http://www.enzymedica.com/protease\ _enzyme.php>

I don't know if the study is still open. ViraStop works to eliminate viruses, and the process of eliminating viruses does cause significant yeast for my kids. Except for the Valtrex, which I don't use, I have given all of those at the same time. The combination works very well for my kids. Guest guest
Hi Gail I couldn't source it in the UK, I had to import from USA. There are many many sites that sell it, and the prices are all similar. It is expensive, and then there is export duty to pay. I think I bought mine from iHerb in the end. They were very efficient, delivered within one week. Joy

Guest guest
> Last night he was crying and screaming and grabbing his ears. Two of my kids had this exact reaction when I started Virastop. It was caused by yeast in their ears. I gave them GSE and it went away. Melinda I read somewhere that Virastop is effective against viruses and bacteria. So I would give them about 2 hours apart, if at all possible. Guest guest
HI, I have been taking the virastop for 19 days, I started with 1 and am now at 12. I also take 3 olive leaf extract daily. The only thing I have noticed is mild flu like symptoms, stomach pain, joint pain etc., but I had the joint pain prior to. How do I tell when I have hit the upper dose? I am trying this on myself, before I try it on my son, so I want to make sure I am doing it correctly. I have minor issues, but have had continued yeast issues for years, and just found out that the entire family has metals poisoning. My daughter and I have mercury and lead in the extremely high range. Interestly enough, she has no real overt symptoms. WE just checked ourselves out of curiousity. My ASD son is taking olive leaf for klebsiella, but, in the past,he suffered with yeast, parasites and bacteria, and he cyles, so I thought a virus may be the culprit. I am thinking my older son could benefit also. He has mild ADHD,but has stomach, muscle, and joint pain intermittently, and struggles with psoriasis(sp?). This all seems to run in families to some extent, and I am seeing cyclical patterns with all children. We first thought it was SAD as we live in Maine, but then, soon, realized there is not distinct pattern. Sorry for rambling, but, after 4 years of this I think I may be close to finding the missing piece of the puzzle. Any thoughts much appreciated, Louise
Guest guest
, We have had success with Nutribiotic's GSE capsules. One capsule is equivalent to 15 drops of GSE.
