Guest guest
Thank you . This is what I thought. I ask because someone on another board made the comment that antifungals and VS kill probiotics. I am trying to keep things clear. And accurate. I am going to phone Enzymedica and speak to them as well, just in case there are any subtleties we should be aware of. Along similar lines, just as an OLE FYI, apparently there are some few probiotic products like Primal Defense (with soil-based organisms) that shouldn't be used with OLE. I found that interesting, in that the olive tree would have to protect itself against soil-based organisms. And while we're talking VS. My son is now at 36 VS day. When you finally do get our viral protocol update, you may have to read it in chapters. The poor kid is so brave that it makes me cry to type this. For a short time, I had my son on 30 VS per day, plus OLE. About two weeks ago, my son's OCD returned, so I thought I had to increase the VS/OLE, but that made it worse, even with an increased yeast protocol. So last week I removed the OLE and reduced the VS down to 2 capsules per day, which still caused issues. Two days ago I removed the VS, and my son is doing very nicely! It was 8 months of anti-virals this time [12 months last time]. Hopefully this will be the last time! I have not watched any viruses go back into his brain so far, so I am hopeful. How is your son doing on the 36 VS per day? Dana

We increased rapidly from 18 to 24 without any viral signs. I'm wondering at these high doses how frequently and to what degree you are increasing and what your seeing for a reaction. We are getting anxious to be done with this. Ds is such a trooper but he is getting sick of all the pills. I want to be sure we are really done though before tappering down. I tried to add back low doses of B vitamins and flax oil, but that did not go well. It does appear that both #2 and #3 are still okay with daily probiotics, and #2 still needs his mixed carotenoid supplement. So I am down to two supplements for #2, and one for #3. I also read about removing all the supps-- wooohooo! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys on this :-) I have been removing other supps (there isn't enough room in the poor child for all of thm) and we haven't seen any decline at all-- I'm not sure what this means yet. I'm starting to have pretty grave concerns that nothing is getting absorbed by him, including all the masses of B vitamins I put in him. I'm hoping that the protocol might help take care of this problem. > > It was 8 months of anti-virals this time [12 months last time]. > Hopefully this will be the last time! It is still there today, but obviously smaller. He also has what resembles cold sores but never really come out all around his mouth. It's heartbreaking to look at. Tomorrow I'll be going up to 39. We've not seen any big improvements in him, at least none that stick. A few instances of eye contact that was heart-stopping, but then gone again. He has started eating more food, and even some food that would have made him gag a few months ago. I've been able to get some grass-fed, organic meat into him and unpasteurized cheese and this makes me enormously happy. If this last 8 months I'll need to start begging on the street for VS. I am *hopeful* that we'll be done the roughest part by the beginning of June. Thanks for you help Dana. Anita > > Dana >
Guest guest
, Now we're increasing at 3 VS each time. I don't want to increase the Lauricidin because he is at the full adult dose. The last time we went up from 33 to 36 he had a very big reaction. The biggest one yet of this protocol. My plan is to make increases as long as I see changes, and if I've increased twice without a response, to add one last blast of high dose OLE (I can't use it for more than a few days as it constipates my son). Are you using something else besides VS? If not, you might want to consider adding OLE or another antiviral that works in a different way than VS. From what I've read, attacking the viruses in as many ways as possible is most effective. This is what I've seen too. I know what you mean about anxious to be done with this. UGH! UGH! > > Anita > Thanks for you quick response, Anita. We are using OLE every day. I periodically switch the OLE out for echinacea/goldenseal or Astragalus. I occasionally give tumeric as well. He is sick today but I'm not convinced its a reaction to the antivirals. Its been 3 days since going up to 24. And we've been passing around a virus. My neice was here saturday and she's sick today too. He says his stomach is really burning which makes me hesitate to give him the VS and OLE at all as I know they are hard on the stomach. I think instead of giving him the VS divided into 3 doses like we usually do I'm going to divide them into 6 doses today. Hopefully that'll be easier on his upset stomach. We've never used lauricidin. Do you feel it addresses different viruses than the VS and OLE? Where do you get it?

But yes, it is VERY expensive. Dana

They have price matching and if you sign up for autoshipping you get a 5% discount. I like them because they ship stuff out right away. I usually get stuff I order in two days. I've had problems with other companines having supplements backordered but not notifing me and then we run out. Never had that problem with Harvest Moon. Guest guest
I normally just lurk on this board, but thought I would jump in here...you can google virastop to find lower prices. Here is a sight that sells VS 120 caps for 33ish $ per bottle. If you buy $150 or more at a time, you get free shipping. www.performancenutritionals.com Satia > > Where is a good source for the Virastop? My local HFS just raised > the price to $45 a bottle!!! Guest guest
This place below is the cheapest I ever found the VS. They also sell a whole bunch of stuff we tend to use, so even if you just wanted a couple bottles of the VS you might be able to order something else to make $75 and get free shipping. The VS here is $30.00/bottle. http://www.stayleaner.com/enzymedica.html I ordered my first batch through them and they shipped fairly quickly, even here to Canada. I got my second batch through PapaNature when they were having a special, but I'm pretty sure that special is over now. Guest guest
Iherb.com has virastop 120 for $33.57----plus I think they perform some sort of credit or percent discount based on the total of your order.... Good luck~

If one thing was backordered they'd hold the whole shipment. I'd call and ask them to please send what was in. They'd say yes but not do it. Ds would get sick and/or regress because he was out of his supplements.
