Guest guest
Hi , > > Everyone is very friendly and open minded on this site so PLEASE tell us > what you are using. > > > Ok, I am getting alot of interest, my mailbox is getting full. I am just going to copy and paste the email I have been sending to everyone. Hi, thanks so much for your interest. We were introduced to a product called MonaVie. It is a concentrated fruit juice featuring the acai berry. (pronounced ahh-sigh-eee). It has 18 other fruits in it chosen for each ones own unique quality/property. I am not sure if you are familiar with the acai berry or not, but Dr. Perricone (who has been on Oprah) and who wrote the book the Perricone Promise...says that the acai berry is the #1 superfood. It has the protein of an egg, and the antioxidant level compared to no other fruit. It also has the essential fatty acids of Omega 6 & 9 which many ASD kids are lacking. It works on the brain so this would most likely enhance nerve receptors to embrace signals from other nerves in the brain so they can process things correctly. Does that make sense? It also has grape seed in it which a well know yeast killer. I think it's been cleaning out the yeast and many more unknown toxins floating around in her system. When I said it's natural, I mean it's 100% natural. There is nothing but fruit in this. It's pulverized into a concentrate and they use the entire fruit, skin, leaves, stem, seeds and all. There is no sugar, chemicals, additives or caffeine added. The fruit is all either grown wild or organically. I have heard that as of January, it will actually say Certified Organic on it's label. So, anyway....the dosage is so easy. It's 1-2 oz a day of this juice. That's it. She takes it right down and gives me no trouble at all with it. It tastes kinda of grape-ish I think. I just fill up one of those little plastic cups that come on top of Tylenol and then suck it up in a syringe and squirt it in her mouth. No fighting me at all. I decided to sign up as a distributor so I could get it wholesale. It's not cheap, but after I figured up all the little things we were giving for yeast, bacteria and immune support, this is way cheaper and so much easier in the liquid form. No more smashing pills and mixing with liquids. No more bitter grape seed extract. Let me know if you would like to try some. I am sure I could send it to you directly somehow. If you are interested, please let me know. Also, know that I am not trying to sell you anything. I just want to share this product with others in the same boat as me. If you don't feel comfortable buying it from me, I can direct you to how you can also sign up as a distributor and purchase it directly from the company. Currently the only way to obtain it, is from either a distributor, or to sign up as one and buy it directly from the company. Please, leave no stones unturned in your search for treatment. Always be willing to look outside the box. I have found my most effective treatments came naturally and without the aid of traditional medicine. I did everything I could in the beginning. We tried everything. I just can't believe how much of an improvement we have seen in just a month. This is HUGE!! The last time we got results like this was when we began the enzymes. Like I said in my post, I will be forever indebted to Dr.Houston and his enzymes and DeFelice's book. I consider finding her website (and Dana's) and the enzymes nothing short of divine intervention. If you have found them, then consider yourself one of the lucky ones. SO many parents are unwilling or unable to find the energy or put forth the effort it takes to treat their kids naturally. Sometimes it's so easy to just give them a pill. Not to say that at times, it IS not completely warranted if that is what your child requires, I just advocate natural if I can use that first. And so far, we have never had to give my dd any kind of actual medication. MonaVie is evidently fairly new and started in Florida about 2 years ago. I think it is just now starting to creep out of Florida. This product was not made for the treatment of autism specifically, it's just patches a lot of holes in the boat. The drink is actually marketed as a health drink that helps with a variety of things. It's a super powered anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. It's helps lower cholesterol naturally. It helps promote good sleep and helps with your aches and pains too. I am not sure of why it works, it just does. I figure it's not for me to question it. It works, she is improving wonderfully and we are using it. I decided to try it myself and what I have noticed most since starting it is that I have more energy. A natural kind of energy, not speedy like from caffeine or something. Ok, well this was a small novel. I plan to just copy and paste this to whoever emails me with an inquiry. Let me know if you wold like to try some. Thanks so much
Guest guest
I'm game. I'm not giving Max anything yet; just don't know where to start. His report card (first grade) was A's in Math, B's in everything else except language skills...he got a D in that. Also he needs to focus, pay attention, and follow directions (all marked as " needs improvement " ). I'm willing to try this. Guest guest
, Would you be willing to share with us what you had tried with your daughter before MonaVie, and the before/after effects? Thank you,

She also was on zinc supplement along with a cal/mag supplement. We used Kirkman's SNT and DMG but we did have the best results with those. I think it made her more hyper than ever. We went GFCF for a year until we found the enzymes. We use No-Phenol in between meals 2x a day. We use AFP Pep and ZP with all meals and snacks. We also gave her Transfer Factor for a year. It was just so expensive that we eventually phased it out. We also give her Nordic Naturals Children's DHA daily. We have been sorta coasting along since about May, just giving some Nystatin here and there and some acidophilus once over the summer. When we started her on the MonaVie, we weren't sure what we would get. I thought that she was about as good as it gets. We placed her in mainstream kindergarten at a small parochial school much against the advice we got in her IEP. I thought long and hard and said many prayers over the summer. I thought I would have a nervous breakdown the night before school started. But she seemed to blend in ok. Numbers letters, colors and shapes have always been her thing and she just came off two years of developmental preschool, so she was more than kindergarten ready as far as acedemically speaking. Socially though, I thought perhaps she might nose dive. Three weeks into school, her teacher called me and said she was worried about her social skills. She was not minlging or mixing too well with her peers. She never raised her hand when asked questions in a group setting. She did not initiate conversations, she played beside her peers but again, did not speak to them if they talked to her. Seriously, two weeks into the MonaVie, her teacher called and said, whatever you are doing, it's working. She is opening up more and more everyday. She volunteered to lead the ABC song in front of the whole class. She said she would see Ivy calling out to her classmates during recess and engaging in conversations too. She was opening up at home too and with prompting, she was telling us about her day (never before had she done this). The imaginary play thing was HUGE for us. She played, but NOT with other kids. She would play in her room, but mostly she just watched video's. Since starting the juice, she has been engaging in elaborate make-believe play with her Barbies. She has been into the dress up box and is changing clothes 5-6 times a day. For the first time, she has had the patience and understanding to play Barbies with her older 7 yo sister. That has been great to witness. I never thought I'd see it. I mentioned in my other post what I thought the MonaVie does for her as far as what it works on. So for now, as long as we keep seeing these kind of results, we'll keep using it. Hope that helps
Guest guest
, Wow, that is kind of the exact opposite of Max. I had him in two years of developmental preschool, plus one year of parochial preschool at the same time (just to see if he could " hack it " ). The parochial school said they couldn't handle him, so then he had two years of kindergarten. He is socializing fine (with a few obsessive tendencies such as " his " chair, " his " this or that), but he can't sit still for long or focus. He is very strong in math, but weak in language comprehension. Personally, I think he comprehends just fine, he just can't retrieve it and communicate what he has learned. His teacher has to repeat instructions to him until he says " I'm ok " and then he can do whatever it is. He does seem to rush through his work, which doesn't help with accuracy. Are you a distributor of the MonaVie? If so, how much would a bottle cost me, and how much would I have to order to do a trial period to see if it helps? Guest guest
You can buy the antioxidant Acai anywhere, this would not be anything special except they made it into a drink. If you had to have something in liquid form then it may justify paying this high price. Someone thinking I am trying to take advantage of someone. This is truly not the case. Number one, I did extensive research on this company's product before we tried it. I scrutinize everything. I believe this compnay has a superior product and I know it works. Number two, yes, you can get acai anywhere, but most acai blends being sold only contain 3-5% solids- with the rest being mostly water and some have caffeine and other sorts of chemicals in them. This company is superior because their juice contains the maximum amount of concentration of solids (meaning skin and pulp)allowed at a whopping 14%. Not only do they use the maximum amount of solids allowed, but they also put a substanial amount of freeze-dried opti acai powder in it as well. This powder is exclusive only to their company and NO OTHER COMPANY. They also have a patent to protect the method they use to flash freeze it. So, again, no other company can duplicate this process for the next ten years. SO, when you say you can get this *anywhere* and it's *nothing special*, I do disagree. I only posted the information because we are having such great results with it. It's not like I just started out in this either. I have been around for awhile. We have lived the past three years learning, researching and trying many, many different types of supplements for our dd. I only wanted to share that with all of you. I am not trying to make a buck off anyone here. I guess I should have not posted it...although I did ask prior to posting and said it was ok to post it. And last, I don't think the price is that bad. It equals out to be about $1.50 a day....I spend more than that on a Starbucks each day. Sorry if you feel it's insignificant. If anyone is still interested, please just email me and I'll give you the information.
Guest guest
Didn't say it was insignificant, just trying to help people who feel pressured to use or that brand name. If the claim is true that there is a higher percentage of acai in this product then any product could be used in higher amounts to achieve the same goal. Any reputable vitamin manufacturer would be okay. Otoh, if you are looking for a palatable liquid for ease of dosing, I can see this as a good alternative. I think I already said this. Guest guest
Hi , I am interested! What is the price? I am THANKFUL you posted! I am new to all of this and feel that if something worked wonder's for their child, than there must be something to it. Please send me the details. Besides this product does not just contain the acai berry, it also has 18 other fruits chosen for each ones own unigue healing properties/health benefits: Pomegranate, white and purple grapes, pear and nashi pear, acerola, aronia, cranberry, passion fruit, banana (for flavoring only), apricot, prune, kiwi, blueberry, bilberry, camu camu, wolfberry and lychee. Plain and simple: not trying to pressure anyone to buy only this brand. Please research and see if you can find another product similar if you like. Please research and see if you can find someone who sells this brand near you. You DO NOT have to buy it from me. Was only trying to offer something that is working for us, that's all. Never in my imagination, would I dream of trying to take advantage of someone here. Thanks to those who have asked. Each parent here will obviously have to decide what is best for their child. I feel that me offering this particular brand is no different that someone offering Houston enzymes over Kirkman's enyzmes. Seems the same to me. Have a great weekend everyone
Guest guest
I must have missed the post as to what this product is. I am interested, could you let me know. If you would rather email me that would be fine. Thanks so much!
Guest guest
There have been some people here who have purchased this product. I wonder if any of you would please share your experience thus far with it...good and bad. Thanks to all who have replied with encouragement. I just got Ivy's mid-term report and I am pleased as punch with it. Her teacher is so amzed at the turnaround with her that she asked me if she could try some too. I got a chuckle out of that. Here is an excerpt from her latest email I want to share: " Ivy has continued to amaze me in class. Mrs. , Mrs. Teany and I have noticed that Ivy is speaking so well and talking in complete sentences most of the time. Today, Ivy came in and informed me that K.C is spelled with a K and C. She tells me stories about Jade and other stories from home. She also came in yesterday and said " Today is Tuesday. On Tuesday it's computer lab. " Ivy raises her hand to answer questions ALL the time now. She even raised her hand yesterday to read a sentence she had never read before, to the class. Her reading skills are great. She picks up on the words very quickly. During prayer time she used to whisper her answer and look down at the floor or say pass (because she didn't want a turn.) Now she looks up at everyone and speaks in a loud voice and tells everyone that she is thankful for her mom and dad. " Mrs. Teany being her speech therapist and Mrs. is her Resource Aid. Oh, and KC...he is our doggie Jade is big sister.

Guest guest
: Can I ask you just a couple of questions? This product sounds intriguing and I have been looking at this too. Do you use the MonaVie original or the MonaVie active? And, how much do you give your daughter? Do you give this in the morning, night? With food? Does it matter? Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't matter with/without food. I also take the Original. My dh just started taking it too, but he wanted to take the Active, because he has some aches and pains from his work (he is in construction). I really like the natural energy boost I feel. I can really tell on days when I forget to take it. I am dragging my knuckles at work (I'm the school nurse at our local highschool) Hope that helps! Guest guest
What supplements are you using along with the Mona Vie. I am looking for a great tasting Vitamin that works and I can get compliance with. How much do you need to give her? Please help. This sounds great. Guest guest
> What supplements are you using along with the Mona Vie. She takes Houston enzymes...all three, Zinc, Cal/mag, and Nordic Naturals Kids DHA & Berries Multi-vit. We were doing Transfer Factor, but like the MonaVie better. TF is very expensive and we were using it 3x a day, so one bottle only lasted us about 2 weeks. I am looking for a great tasting Vitamin that works and I can get compliance with. How much do you need to give her? Please help. This sounds great. We give the Nordic Natural Berries Multi-vits. They are great. We give her 1 oz of the MonaVie per day. I can email you off site the information, ok? > > Shara
