Guest guest
My daughter has many food intolerances. We've been GFCFSFCornF for 9- 11 months (stuff came out sequentially). She's been on AFP and Zyme Prime x 7.5 months. After 2 months, I tried giving 2 oz milk + 2 AFP + Zyme Prime. Didn't work (aggression). We've been on enzymes for longer now, and I'd like to try gluten with GlutenEase. (We started with V gest, also by Enzymedica, and it was well tolerated). [i know I could try gluten with AFP, since my first trial was casein, but my gut says AFP didn't work for casein so it's probably not going to work for gluten in MY kid] Here's my question: if this is going to work (prevent a food intolerance), my understanding is that enzymes would have to cleave the part of the molecule that is recognized and bound into an immune complex. Is this right? I know that GlutenEase breaks both a protein site AND a carbohydrate site. Is this carbohydrate site different than that broken by Zyme Prime? Otherwise, I don't see the point of trying GlutenEase (although I probably still will, because I'm getting a lot of resistance about this diet [my daughter is 8]). I also want more variety to work with and restricting everything but allowing gluten again would do this (and provide some Vit B's). Thanks, Sue in Toronto
