Guest guest
I started my grandson on Mannatech's Ambrotose when he was 3, because he had constant ear infections, always low immune system. We now swear by it for keeping general healthfulness, and since I work with several other children with autism, I have seen good results using Ambrotose with them as well. I made a mistake of switching to their capsules instead of the powedered Ambrotose - they use a rice filler and the capsules were only 1/3 the strength. After two months, my little guy's white blood cell count was very low -- and he was getting sick more often -- then it dawned on me what happened. I now make my own capsules from the powder, and his blood is back to AOK, and hardly every sick. As for the other Manantech products, you need to be careful. Some have gluten, some are high in phenols, some are too high in sugars for many of the spectrum kids. Each child is different. I only use Ambrotose at the recommendation of our fabulous ND (not their new version either, since it does contain trace gluten -- use the original Ambrotose.) Check out their " HOPE " project - it can drastically reduce costs. -- Helen
