Guest guest
I am new to this board. I have 2 adopted girls that had positive IgG RAST tests to Wheat (one a 1 and the other a 3) and Casein (still waiting on the numbers). Neither is autistic although one does have developmental delays and occ. displays a few autistic tendencies (toe walking, flapping, etc). Anyway, someone suggested trying to reduce the amount of wheat and casein in their diets and adding the enzymes. Then a mother on a homeschool board suggested I check this list out so here I am. I do have a few questions though: 1. Which are better Houston or Kirkman? 2. Will the enzymes help an IgG reaction to wheat and casein? 3. Is there any interaction between the enzymes and Tegretol XR (a time release form of Tegretol)? I just don't want the enzymes breaking down the capsules too fast and over dosing her. Do they react with any other medication or vitimin? 4. How should we get started on this? 5. Do you give them 30 minutes before each meal or with the meal? What about with snack? What if the meal/snack is gluten and casein free? Hopefully I can figure this all out. I hope to order the enzymes tomorrow and get started on them ASAP. Thanks Ottakee the girls are on: 10dd--Tegretol XR, Lamictal, Risperdal, Levoxyl, Ditropan, Carnitor, Co-Q-10, a B-complex, and a multivitamin along with Omega 3s, Allegra 9dd---Dexedrine, Risperdal, B-complex, multivitamin, Singulair, Allegra, and asthma meds as needed
