Hi ,

I would feel the same way. If I had not seen how bad my daughters neck was via

the xrays, I would not have believed it. There is no good reason not to xray. We

are not talking about A BUNCH by any streach of the imagination... Maybe 4

total..and that includes the entire spine. You can tell weather or not the

brainstem is pinched with the right equipment. It is a scan that is done right

at the jaw bone area..did they do that?

It sounds like maybe there could be a problem. It would be a shame if it went

undetected because this doctor did not choose to do all the diagnostics.

It is simple to treat this condition. I understand, from more then one doctor,

that it should include therapy/adjustments 3xweekly, traction, and head

weighting...to strengthen the muscles. Other wise you will continue to have

those bones slide back to where they were (and keep paying the doctor!!) It is

so very important to find the right doctor. I would hate to have this ignored or

have you engage with a doctor who is only milking the situation.

If the axis is tipped the wrong way...it will be very hard to get your child

totally recovered, as detoxing is almost impossible to achieve if the brain

cannot communicate with the rest of the body. I have only started to work with a

doctor who is helping my daughter. I have posted much information about it

already. What I am finding out, by having other moms go to this doctor, so far,

is that every one of the children who have not been able to recover through

detoxing, have the tipped axis. It is amazing to find these things out. If you

would like to talk to someone who can direct you...with some integrity, I would

be happy to give you my doctors info. and he would be more then happy to talk

about it, I am sure. I cannot say enough about how important it is to get

someone who will give an honest look into this. I recently talked to a lady who

is very prominent in the autism community who has been taking her son to a

chiro. for three years and has had no results at all. She has

almost certainly been robbed. She has only been taking him one time a

week....in a crisis situation that is not enough!! If this goes unresolved it

can cause sooo many problems. I would be happy to talk further by phone if you

like....email me privately and I will send you my info.

Inspired by all of the chatter about chiropractors, I took my 4.5 yo

daughter to see one this past Wednesday. He said they don't take x-

rays on kids, but he could feel her atlas was left-leaning. He didn't

know if she had a pinched brainstem, but said that over the course of

a couple months treatment, 2x/week, it would surely resolve itself if

she did. He used the activator up and down her spine and that was it.

(Mind you, I'd never visited a chiropractor before so had no clue what

to expect.) I have to say, I left disappointed, feeling it was a scam

to get us to come back regularly, even when she might not have a

problem to correct.

Well, my daughter, who's been constipated, passing stools only once

every 3-4 days, has passed a stool at about the same time of day every

day since. So I guess it did correct something. I'm still undecided as

to whether or not we're going to continue (I like the idea of Bowen

therapy a lot, since it can cause the whole body to heal itself - and

autism is a whole body ordeal). But I thought you might be interested

in our experience.

Too bad mine isn't later....funny of all the people on this board wouldn't it be

funny for two to be in the same chiro office at the same time!

Good luck tomorrow, will tell them to say Hi for me!

I am so excited that you are checking into this! It was a major break through

for our family.

I am really beginning to believe that many of these kiddos have an axis that is

tipped the wrong way. I have been shocked at how true that has been...so far. I

hope this will get some more parents talking about this condition. It is so easy

to treat! (well compared to all the other " interventions " I have tried!)

Also the success is amazing! What a difference we have seen in only four weeks

of care...Please keep me informed too! I am very curious to know how it

goes...my prayers are with you both!!

Blessings,Debbie
